though I knew I wouldn't make it from the start, but I never quit,
because I didn't 

believe in that shit, people sitting in their rooms to see how far that
they can get and thats 

it, my mother had to stand in THE Line to get a meal, my father couldn't
even pay the bills 

and still, I made it out without the help from my friends, because I
knew that bad things 

always come to an end.  So here I am, sporting my Grand Am, working for
an agency run 

by Uncle Sam, and I'll be damned If I give it all up, no longer using
food stamps to get a 

cup of noodle soup, and you know it's all good, no longer running with
the boys in the hood. 

You should be proud of me if you've seen what I have seen, it's not a
Brooklyn or a Queens 

thing this stuff is everywhere, because people don't know how to act and
they really don't care, 

I took the dare, then paid a fare, in the end I got my ass out of there.
