"Yep." 

"Well?" 

"Well what?" 

"Well, what do you want? And don't you go dodgin' this one, cuz I wanna
know." 

I loved the way she'd get irratated and slip outta that strange Ohio
accent she picked up and back into that eggs in the fryin' pan crackle 
of down home, no nonsense, shut up and tell me, way of talkin' we all 
seem to acquire. Sigh. 

"Well?" 

"What do I want?" 

"Yep. What do you want. Simple question." 

"No it isn't." 

"Alright, it isn't. But what do you want?" 

"You."
