"We don't know, yet. We haven't decided." Sapphire informed, stopping
the arguement before it started.

"Well, how about we go get Jewel and camp there?" Onyx suggested,
looking at Sapphire.

"That sounds good." Sapphire agreed with a smile.

What do you think, Angel?" Onyx questioned, touching his forearm with
the tip of her fingers.

"As long as I can go, I don't care where we go." He replied with a
smile.

"Let's meet at my and Damion's place around three...I have to go grocery
shopping." Onyx informed, standing up from the table.

"We're leaving tomorrow?" Angel asked with a puzzled look on his face.

"Yea, is that okay?" Sapphire questioned, writing down the store list.

"Yes, that's fine, I just thought we would wait for a weekend or
something, but that's okay." Angel informed with a smile.

"Is the store list done so I can go? Damion is probably worried about
me." Onyx asked, looking down at the list.

"Yea, here." Sapphire replied, handing her the list.

"Thanks...I'll see you guys later." Onyx informed, walking out the door.

After Onyx left, Angel just sat down on the couch with a depressed look
on his face.

"Why don't you just tell her how you feel?"

"Because she's with Damion."

"Can I tell you something that she doesn't want me to tell you? It will
be between me and you."

"Okay."

"You're the first thing on her mind when she wakes up and the last
before she goes to sleep at night."

"Really?"

"That's what she told me. I've never senn her so happy than when she's
with you."

"Yea, I love the look in her eyes when she sees me."

"Well there's something to start with."

"Yea, but I'm still afraid."

"Why?"

"Rejection."

"Hun, she feels the same way you do, but she just doesn't know how to
tell Damion."

"I wish I could just show her how much I like her instead of just
telling her."

"Maybe you can."

"How?"

"The road trip."

"Yea, but Damion is going to be there."

"Take her for a walk just you and her."

“I can't wait until everyone gets here.” Sapphire exclaimed, walking
over to Onyx.

“I know, me neither.” Onyx agreed with a smile.

“So, are you going to tell Angel?” Sapphire asked, walking to the RV.

“Yea because I want him to kiss me.” Onyx replied, following Sapphire to
the RV.

“Why don't you just kiss him?” Sapphire question, sitting down on the
couch.

“Yea right, I'm too shy to do that.” Onyx said, rolling her eyes.

“Yea, it would be better if he did it on his own.” Sapphire informed
with a smile.

Sapphire decided to go in the house while Onyx waited outside for
everyone else.

As soon as Sapphire closed the door, Onyx heard a car door shut.

Looking out the window, Onyx saw Angel and ran out of the RV,
practically tackling him.

“Someone's happy to see me.” Angel said with a smile.

“Sorry, Sapphire and I were just talking about you.” She apologized with
a slight smile.

“What were you talking about?” He asked, still smiling.

“Oh, I'll tell you later.” She said, smiling back.

“Can I talk to you, alone?” He questioned, looking into her eyes.

“Yes.” She replied as her smile faded.

They went into the RV and Angel sat down on the couch.

“Come here.” He requested, holding out his hand.

“Why?” She asked with a puzzled look on her face.

“I want to hold you.” He replied and she sat down, letting him put his
arms around her.

After a long silence, Onyx looked up at Angel and their lips were just
inches away from each other. He started to get closer, but Onyx turned
her head.

“What's wrong.” Angel questioned with a puzzled look.

“Nothing.” She replied, sitting up.

“Do you want to try again?” He asked, looking into her eyes.

“Not right now.” She said, hesitating a little.

“I hope you know you're blushing.” He informed, taking her by the hand.

“Yea, I know.” She replied with a slight smile.

She took him by the hand, stood up. and took him inside.

“Where are we going?” Angel questioned, walking into the door.

“My room.” She replied, leading him there.

“Do you want to try again?” Angel asked with a smile, sitting down on
the bed.

“Yes.” She agreed, sitting down beside him.

When they were inches away from kissing, Sapphire opened the door.

“Sapphire!” Onyx yelled, scrambling to stand up.

“Oh, sorry, I just wanted to tell you that Damion is home.” She
informed, pulling the door closed, except for a little crack.

“We'll be out in a minute.” Onyx said, looking over at Angel.

“Okay, I'm going back outside.” She said and left, closing the door all
the way.

Angel didn't say anything, just pulled Onyx close to him.

“What are you do...” Onyx started to ask, but Angel interrupted her by
pressing his lips to hers.

She didn't say anything after he kissed her, she just pulled him back to
her and kissed him back.

As they kissed, Onyx wrapped her fingers around the back of Angel's neck
while he ran his finger through her long, beautiful, Strawberry Blonde
hair.

As they pulled away, Onyx felt her whole body tingle.

“How what that?” Angel questioned, looking into Onyx's eyes.

“Perfect.” She whispered and squeezed Angel's hand.

“Onyx, I have something to tell you.” He said, looking down at their
hands.

“What's that?” She asked, with a slight smile.

Before Angel could speak, Damion burst in the door.

“What are you two doing in here?” He questioned with such anger.

“We're just talking.” Angel defended, standing up.

“Onyx, get out.” Damion snapped, looking Angel straight in the eyes.

“No, not without Angel.” She replied with anger building up inside her.

“Fine. Both of you...get out of my house....NOW!!!” Damion yelled, and
slammed the door after they left.

“What's going on?” Sapphire asked, seeing Onyx in tears.

“Damion caught us in my room.” Onyx replied, starting to march down the
road.

“Onyx, don't do this.” Angel pleaded, and Onyx stopped dead in her
tracks.

“Don't do what? Love you for you and there's nothing I can do about it?”
She questioned, turning around, looking at him while Damion stood at
the doorway of the apartment.

Realizing what she said, and seeing Damion at the door, she turned
around and starting walking quickly down the road with tears running
down her cheeks.

“Onyx, wait.” Damion called, running after her.

“I don't want to talk to you.” She snapped, continuing to walk.

“I know you love him.” He said and Onyx just stopped and started to cry.

Damion put his arms around her, looking into her tear filled eyes.

“Yes, I know.” He repeated, wiping away the tears from Onyx's face.

“How?” She asked with a shaky voice.

“It doesn't matter, but I'm willing to let your go if that's what you
want.” He replied, starting to cry himself.

“Why?” She questioned with a puzzled look on her face.

“Because, when you love someone, you should let them go.” He said with a
tear running down his cheek.

“You love me?” She asked with a slight smile.

“Yes.” He replied, wiping away his own tears.

“And you would just let me go?” She questioned, starting to cry again.

“Whatever makes you happy.” He said, running his fingers through her
hair.

She didn't say anything, just stood there, looking into his hazel eyes.

“Damion, I do love you, but not as much as I love Angel.” Onyx admitted,
stepping back from him.

“I know you do, that's why I'm letting you go.” He said, walking back to
the apartment.

“Angel, Onyx wants to talk to you.” Damion said and then walked back
into the apartment.

“Onyx, are you okay?” Sapphire asked, walking over to her.

“Yea.” She replied, stopping in front of her.

“Are you sure?” Sapphire question, hugging her.

“Yea...Angel, can I talk to you.” She asked, walking to the RV.

“Yea.” He replied, following her.

Onyx shut the door and started crying.

“Onyx, come here.” Angel said, gathering her up in his arms.

“I'm sorry.” She apologized with a shaky voice.

“No, don't be. You can cry on my shoulder anytime.” He noted, taking her
over to the couch to talk.

“Damion and I broke up.” She said, looking into his eyes.

“I figured that would happen after what you said.” He stated with a
slight smile.

“Yea.” She giggled, wiping away her tears.

“Did you mean it?” He questioned, looking into her eyes.

“Yes.” She replied, drying up her tears.

They kissed so gently that Onyx melted into Angel's arms...something
she'd been wanting to do for a very long time.

“I love you, too.” He said and they both decided to cry together.

“Onyx, are we going?” Sapphire asked through the window of the RV.

“Yea. Let me go inside first.” Onyx replied, stepping out of the RV.

“Do you want me to go with you?” Angel questioned, putting his hand on
her shoulder.

“No, I'll be okay.” She said and went into the apartment.

“Damion, where are you?” Onyx asked, opening the door.

“In the kitchen.” He replied with a shaky voice.

“Are you crying?” She questioned, walking into the kitchen.

“I was.” He said, closing the refrigerator door.

“Why?” She asked, leaning against the cabinet.

“Cause I love you.” He replied, walking into the living room.

“If it makes you feel better, I won't date Angel for a while.” She said,
following him.

“How long is a while?” He questioned, sitting down on the couch.

“Well, until I can find a place of my own.” She replied, sitting down
beside him.

“So, you're going to stay here?” He asked, putting his feet up on the
coffee table.

“If that's okay.” She said, fidgeting.

“Yea, that's fine.” He replied, feeling a little uncomfortable.

“I know you're uncomfortable with me around you now, but would you still
like to go camping with us?” She questioned, standing up.

“”If you want me to.” He replied, putting his feet down.

“Damion...” She said, walking over to him.

“What?” He asked, looking up at her, but she just held out her hand and
smiled.

“Okay, I'll go.” He noted, smiling back.

“Thank you.” She said cheerfully.

“I just hope you know that I will always love you.” He informed,
standing up and held her in his arms.

“I know, Hun.” She replied with a smile.

“Hun?” He questioned, smiling back.

“Yea, can I call you Hun?” She asked, looking into his eyes.

“Yea.” He replied and kissed her on the cheek.

“Okay, let's get out of here.” Onyx said, getting into the RV.

“Damion's going?” Sapphire questioned with a puzzled look on her face.

“Do you have a problem with that?” Onyx asked, practically yelling.

“No.” She replied with a surprised look on her face.

“Who wants a drink before we leave?” Pierce questioned, holding up an
open bottle of wine.

“I can't, I'm driving.” Onyx replied, getting into the driver's seat.

“Anyone?” Pierce asked, pouring it.

“I will.” Sapphire said, walking over to him.

“Sit down everyone, we're about to leave.” Onyx informed, starting the
RV.

“Can I sit up here with you?” Angel questioned, looking at her.

Onyx looked back at Damion and just nodded.

“Where does Jewel live?” Sapphire asked, sitting down beside Damion.

“About an hour from here, so relax.” Onyx replied and pulled out of the
driveway.

After they picked up Jewel, they went straight to the campsite and set
up camp for the next four days.

“Did you and Damion break up?” Jewel questioned, looking over at Damion.

“Yea.” Onyx replied with a slight smile.

“You okay?” She asked, placing her hand on Onyx's shoulder.

“Yea. Angel and I are talking now.” Onyx said with a bigger smile.

“That's cool.” She commented, smiling back.

“Yea, but we're not going to date until I move out of Damion's
apartment.” Onyx informed, looking over at Angel.

“It looks like you really want to be with him.” She informed, looking at
the sad look on Onyx's face.

“Yea, I do.” Onyx sighed, looking down at her feet.

“Why don't you date him now?” She questioned, trying to cheer her up.

“Cause I basically promised Damion that I wouldn't until I got my own
place.”

“Well, by the look on your face, you don't look like you want to wait.”
She said, lifting one eyebrow.

“I don't.” Onyx informed, looking at Jewel straight in the eyes.

“Then go talk to Angel and start your relationship.” She encouraged with
a smile.

“You're right. I will.” Onyx said, walking over to Angel.

Onyx walked over to Angel and asked him to take a walk with her.

“Sure.” He agreed and followed Onyx into the woods.

They sat down on a big rock and started talking.

“So, what did you want to talk to me about?” He asked, situating himself
on the rock.

“Us.” She replied with a straight face.

“What about us?” He questioned with a puzzled look on his face.

“Is there an us?” She asked, putting her hand on his.

“I don't know, you tell me.” He replied, looking into her eyes.

“Do you want there to be?” She questioned, looking into his eyes.

“You know I do, but you told me that you couldn't until you moved out of
Damion's apartment.” He informed with a slight smile.

“I don't want to wait.” She sighed, looking down at their hands.

“Really?” He asked, holding her hand in his.

“Yea...Angel, will you be my boyfriend?” She questioned, looking back up
into his eyes.

“Let me think about it and I'll give you my answer when we go back
home.” He suggested with a smile.

“Okay.” She agreed, smiling back.

“I think this is the part were we kiss.” He informed, but she just
giggled.

Angel kissed her gently on the lips, wanting to tell her that he wants
to be with her, but he wants to make her wait with anticipation.

The next day, Angel and Damion were fighting while they were swimming
until Onyx twisted her ankle in the river.

“I think I sprained it.” Onyx informed, limping out of the river.

“Let me see it.” Jewel said, walking over to her and helped her sit down
on the bank.

“Well?” Onyx asked, looking at Jewel.

“It's sprained.” Jewel replied, holding Onyx's foot.

“Come on, Damion, let's help her back.” Angel suggested, nudging Damion.

When they got back to the campsite, Onyx put ice on her ankle and they
all decided to go back home.

“I'm sorry, guys.” Onyx apologized with a sad look on her face.

“Don't be...these things happen.” Sapphire said with a smile.

“Angel, can you help me to the RV, I want to talk to you?” Onyx
questioned, looking up at him.

“Yea.” He replied with a slight smile.

“I couldn't sleep last night because I was trying to figure out what to
say to you, but then, I found a song to express my feelings and I would
like to sing it to you.” Onyx said with a smile.

“Okay, go ahead.” Angel replied, being impressed that Onyx thought of a
song just for him.

“Don't laugh because I can't sing it very well.” She informed,
practically giving him a puppy face.

“I won't.” He said with a smile.

She cleared her throat and started to sing.

“What did I do to deserve you. Only God's hands could have made you and
brought this dream to life. Always swore that I, I would never fall. I
guess miracles happen after all. And what did I do to deserve you.” She
sang and ended in a smile.

Angel was speechless because that was the first time he heard her sing
with such feeling and it lifted his heart that he gathered her up in
her arms and looked into her beautiful eyes.

“Onyx, that was wonderful. I loved it, but it's my turn to sing to you.”
He said with a smile.

“Really?” She asked, smiling back.

“Yes.” He replied and started singing his song.

“One lonely night, I sent a prayer. Send me someone, someone to care.
Out of the blue, suddenly you, heaven sent.”

Onyx was in tears, but Angel still wasn't done.

“Your beautiful eyes, sparkle like two diamonds on fire. Why am I still
surprised at the way they make me feel? I thought I could get no
higher, you showed me a whole new deal. It's not the way you look, it's
the way you look at me. Most any old time could be a special occasion.
Just call me and I'm already halfway there....It's not the way you
look, Even though heaven knows your a sight to see. It's not the way
you look, It's the way you look at me.”

“Oh, Angel, that was beautiful.” Onyx said, still crying.

“Onyx, will you be my girl?” He questioned with a smile.

Onyx couldn't say a word, so she just nodded her head.

Angel smiled, then kissed her while he ran his fingers through her hair.

“Damion, I found an apartment.” Onyx informed, walking into the living
room.

“Where?” Damion asked, looking up from his newspaper.

“Actually...here...downstairs.” She replied with a smile.

“Really?” He questioned with a slight smile.

“Yea, isn't that great.” She said cheerfully.

“Yea it is.” He replied with a smile.

“Angel will be here any minute to help me move.” She informed putting
her shoes on.

“Do you have everything packed?” He asked, standing up.

“Most of it.” She replied, putting her jacket on...then there was a
knock at the door.

“I guess that's him.” He said, answering the door.

“Hey, Damion.” Angel greeted with a smile.

“Hey.” Damion replied with a sigh and let him in.

“Hey, Honey.” Onyx said, giving Angel a hug.

“Honey?” Damion questioned with a puzzled look on his face.

“Oh, yea, Angel and I are dating.” Onyx replied with a smile.

“How long have you been dating?” He asked, walking into the kitchen.

“I can't lie to you, Damion.” She said, following him.

“How long?” He repeated, turning around to look at her.

“Since the camping trip when I sprained my ankle.” She replied, stopping
in front of him.

“That's been three weeks ago.” He informed with a hurt look on his face.

“Yea, I know, I'm sorry.” She apologized, reaching out for him, but he
pulled away.

“Is that the reason why you wouldn't kiss me the other day?” He
questioned, still looking into her eyes.

“Yes.” She replied, backing away more.

“Just get your stuff and leave.” He demanded, walking into his bedroom.

“But...” She said, walking up to him.

“Go!” He yelled and slammed the door.

“Come on, Angel.” Onyx suggested, walking upstairs to her former
bedroom.

Stopping at the door, Angel took Onyx into his arms.

“Onyx, I love you.” He said, looking into her eyes.

“What?” She asked with a surprised look on her face.

“I love you.” He repeated with a smile.

“You love me?” She questioned with a smile, running her fingers through
his short, brown hair.

“Yes.” He replied, still smiling.

“I love you, too.” She said and kissed him.

After everything was in her apartment, Onyx started opening boxes.

“Why don't you do that later?” Angel asked, putting the last box down.

“What am I going to do then?” She questioned, putting up her hair.

“Why don't we go to dinner to celebrate then you can spend the night at
my place.” He suggested with a smile.

“How about dinner and spend the night here?” She asked with a wink.

“We can do that.” He agreed with a bigger smile.

Lying on the couch, in the living room, Angel and Onyx cuddled while
they watched a movie together.

“Would you like to finish watching this in the bedroom where it's more
comfortable?” Onyx questioned, looking up at him.

“Sure.” He agreed with a smile.

They went into the bedroom and watched the rest of the movie, then Onyx
went to the bathroom to get ready for bed.

“I'm sorry, Honey, I'm really tired after moving most of the day.” She
apologized, climbing into bed.

“It's okay, I just want to cuddle.” He replied with a smile, looking at
her in one of his shirts.

He though she was so sexy in his shirt and he loved to hold her close to
him.

“Goodnight, Honey.” Onyx said, snuggling close to him.

“Night.” He replied, holding her close.

Angel and Onyx had been dating for six months and Angel finally moved in
with her.

“I'm so glad you decided to move in with me.” Onyx informed with a
smile.

“Me, too.” Angel said, smiling back, but Onyx just blushed.

“So, what do you want to do?” She asked, helping him put his last things
away.

“Well, I'm a little hungry.” He replied, looking over at her.

“I can cook if you want me to.” She said with a slight smile.

“You don't have to.” He noted, walking over to her.

“I want to.” She informed, putting her hands on his chest.

“Okay.” He agreed with a smile.

“Just go sit down in the living room and I'll cook for you.” She
requested, escorting him to the living room.

“Honey, this is wonderful.” Angel complimented, eating his supper.

“Thank you, Hun.” She said with a smile.

“Are you not going to eat?” He questioned, looking up at her.

“I'm not hungry.” She replied, sitting down beside him.

“Would you like to go out tonight?” He asked with a smile.

“Where?” She questioned, taking his empty plate to the kitchen.

“A movie or something.” He replied, picking up the newspaper to look at
the movie listings.

“Sure.” She agreed, sitting back down beside him.

After the movie, Angel escorted Onyx back to the car.

“I bought you something.” He informed with a smile.

“Really?” She asked, smiling back.

He pulled out a box and handing it to her.

“What is it?” She questioned, looking at the box.

“Just open it.” He replied with a smile.

She opened it and it was the black sapphire bracelet she had been
wanting.

“Thank you, Angel.” Onyx said, hugging him.

“Well, you've been looking at it every time we go to the store, so I
decided to get it for you.” He replied, taking it and putting it on her
wrist.

Three months later, Angel took Onyx to a romantic dinner, then went out
in the country for a nightly walk.

“Onyx, can I ask you something?” He asked, stopping and held her hand.
“Yes.” She replied, looking into his eyes. He took her in his arms and
looked deep into her eyes.

“I guarantee there will be rough times and that some point one or both
of us is going to want to get out of this thing, but I also guarantee
that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my
life because I know in my heart that you're the only one for me...will
you marry me.” He stated, getting down on one knee and showed her the
ring.
