I was taking a stroll through my diary...through my life. No rhyme and no reason, just words that were meant for something. Lost before I remembered where...or to whom.

were mauves and violets in domed patterns. It lay quite dead and quite 
beautiful. 

Later, walking back along my beach, I saw children poking at it with a
stick. Sometimes I think, the way we learn things, well, it just seems 
so cruel. 

Success before growing up. 

Did I understand silence before I learned about the shore and two people
comfortable enough in love to remain quiet with each other? I think I 
did, I think I may have spoken to the world about such a feeling. A 
life lived in fear of rejection, some unknown hurt, some feeling inside 
that I cannot explain nor can be explained to me. It's as if I'm still 
just a boy on the shore and somehow the wind, the waves and the tides, 
they absorb me, take me in and make me whole. Words, washed in on the 
tide of ideas, writing in my room, just a boy with dreams of one day 
being something to everyone. 

Success after growing up. 

After everything, after all the adventures, and there have been many,
after perfection, or something that felt like it, after all the 
travelling I've arrived in a place where fear no longer resides. Within 
the heart of one woman.
