answered and my name is rose wells , my folks just moved here and 
bought a boundary of land to settle on and I was just walking about to 
see the new country we have moved too. How you know my name, I asked 
her? Well man who don't know you name, ? You're a war hero and killed 
more japs than any man in the japans war. The papers that are scattered 
ever where these days have written stories all about you, and here you 
are not aware of being a war hero, well being a hero don't mean nothing 
to me, I tell her, and she look at me with her blue eyes, now see here 
don't you ever dare to try and kill yourself ever again, I know where 
your bother is, she tell me, where is he? well he is my husband and he 
is down at our new place, he sent me to fetch you , he meet me up in 
Ohio where he went after your folks died, he it the one that told my 
paw about the land paw bought  and he as you will know is twenty one 
years old now , he was fifteen when you went to the army, and after 
your mother and father died he come to Ohio and that how we become 
married, she explained” so now you have someone to live for and that is 
your brother Lester and now he has a family and you can be part of our 
family , there is a lot of things to live for she tell me, they are I 
asked? Yes I have a sister that is real pretty and she is twenty eight 
and she like you has never married and maybe you two can get acquainted 
and see what happen she added” 

It was good to know that Lester was alive and living in these parts and
was married now, so I had a chooses to make get busy living or get busy 
dying, and thank to God I chose the former I got busy living, her 
sister was just as she described a pretty young woman near my age, we 
hit it off right fast like her name was Martha and she was everything a 
man would want in a wife,  we married and two years later we had a son 
and named him Frank after paw, times has  changed things here , paw and 
maw would be proud to know that I am married and happy now and living 
in the old cabin paw build with his own hands, if it had not been for 
Lester coming back to settle here and getting married , and his wife 
taking a walk, I would be laying beside maw and paw , Maw also said the 
lord works in mysterious ways and I for one am sure glad he does, ... 
this story is dedicated to all that ever served in any branch of
