Hope for 

something less. 

Hope on 

finding contentment. 

Hope for 

some kind of surrender.

Both wish 

to see real faces. 

Both wish 

for arms to hold. 

Both wish 

to believe the lies. 

Both wish 

for exit to the inferno. 

~ 

Both pray 

for a halt to confusion. 

Both pray 

to never forget. 

Both pray 

for the light of day. 

Both pray 

for the flame to cool. 

~ 

Both wait, dream, 

hope, wish, 

and pray 

to still be loved by 

~ 

The other.
