Just some raw free-verse about something I went through with my mother

I WISH 

I wish I could take away your pain 

Place a bandage on your soul 

Make everything all right again 

But I can't 

I wish that I could make you stop crying at night 

I wish you'd stop pretending you're fine when I know you're not 

I wish I could stop your mind from spinning the way it is 

But I can't, I wish I could
