Sorrow (standard:poetry, 112 words)

This is basically my life.

My father almost died,

My mother twice tried suicide,

I have many times cried,

I feel as though I'm all alone,

In a world in my mind,

There in my mind is the only happiness I will find,

Why do I feel like I'm alone,

I know others have had worse sorrow,

My parents don't believe I'm hurting that bad,

They say the sadness will pass,

Then why are my arms scratched and bruised,

I know why, I can't tell them so I hide it inside,

But my sorrow must come out so I take it all out on myself,

Perhaps one day that will change and my spirit will fly free.
