People sometimes hide from their problems 'behind closed eyes', it's an easier way to live. But, though you choose to ignore the issues that are had by sometimes indulging in sin, the problem or problems will fester on the inside if not faced.

Behind Closed Eyes 

Closed Eyes, 

a prison for lies. 

At the lids her problem pries. 

Deep inside a child cries, 

behind the shades of closed eyes. 

Closed Eyes, 

a river of 'whys?' 

consisting of uncountable guys, 

broken friendships, family ties, 

hidden behind her closed eyes. 

Closed Eyes, 

late night sighs. 

Vision blurred from nightly cries. 

Flowing potential inside lies, 

barred behind those closed eyes. 

Closed Eyes, 

Closed Eyes, 

Open...see the sun rise. 

Embraced by darkness, slow demise 

when living behind your closed eyes.
