upon wave of sexual anticipation coursing through his body. 

The slow foxtrot ended and they walked hand in hand back to the table. 
Margaret had a knowing look on her face, knowingly innocent and guilt 
free.  The dance left him a little shaken and unsure he understood his 
new relationship with Margaret.  He did know the battle he was fighting 
was his alone and that if he continued to pursue her it would put an 
end to their friendship.  He also knew he could still feel the two 
spots of warmth on his neck. 

The orchestra began playing again and after a couple of quick sips from
their drinks, he again began guiding Margaret around the dance floor.  
The song “The Way We Were” was a pops tune arranged for the large 
ensemble and very danceable.  Few things in his life had ever given 
him, so much pleasure as moving in unison with a beautiful and skillful 
a dance partner like Margaret. 

He awoke in the middle of this sensual, sexually exciting, but
conflicted dance with Margaret.  The intensity of the dream left him 
confused and disorientated.  As he became aware of his surroundings, he 
began to weep, softly at first then harder, great shoulder moving sobs 
that shook his hospital bed.  He cried for hours, the tears of mourning 
washing away layer after layer of his denial.  His hang gliding 
accident had taken so much from him that at first he could not face the 
loss.  This beautiful, powerful dream of one more night dance with 
Margaret had been needed to bring him a little nearer to accepting life 
in a wheelchair.
