|A poem about a couple coming to terms with a relationship being over.|
Bruised Heart Lashes Out ~ An adulteress prays with her heart ripped out of her chest. But instead of guidance she prays for deliverance. ~ An adulterer prays with his mind closed to new possibilities. Instead of righteousness he prays for life without guilt. ~ She longs to die. He longs to suffer. She wants comforting grace. He wants to be a saint. ~ What do they have in common? They've both made “mistakes.” © April 14, 2008 by Lori Tweet
