Till Death Do Us Part (standard:poetry, 103 words)
Author: Reid LaurenceAdded: Jun 10 2010Views/Reads: 2456/0Story vote: 0.00 (0 votes)
When do we give up on each other? In our relationship with the ecosystem, we haven't much time left to consider...

The trees, the ocean

Have set life to motion

And years of this play

Have but fashioned the day

But in retrospect

Have we seen

Have we met

Do we mend what was broken

Take warnings as token

Don't we know what has passed

Knowing this cannot last

All the damage now done

Was it all just good fun

Was it worth all the while

To demolish and smile

Does death have to be

Part of life every mile

Is there time yet to turn

Have we trees left to burn

Can there be peace on earth

Is there time left to learn?
