Investiture (standard:poetry, 65 words)

A poem about the lack of control some of us may feel when we watch crude oil spew from the bottom of the ocean...

Where are we?

Where do we go?

We reap, we sow

In time dictates

A scattered trust

Confuses men

To harvest lust

What have we gained?

And did we grow?

In circles time

To my sorrow

Begin again

And wipe the board

Remove the ones

Who greed and hoard

To our dismay

There is no one

To save the rest

And dodge the gun
