For our soldiers- because you, above all, have been wronged most. May God bless you and keep through this insanity.

What you never knew

The horror you would see in

This thing you were getting into

**************

Soldier Man...

Cries would fill the smoky air

As piles of bodies grew

Oh how you would come to hate

This hell you were getting into

**************

Soldier Man...

Chaos surrounds you now

Oh God, you are so confused

Who is right? Who is wrong?

In this insanity you've gotten into?

**************

Soldier Man...

you see innocence die before your eyes

Is it their just dues?

"Lord, am I the 'good guy'", you pray,

"In this conflict I've gotten into?"

**************

Soldier Man...

you hold the dying body of your enemy's child

you raise your eyes, 'Lord, I'm sending her to you,

Please forgive me for the hell I've brought to

This thing I've gotten into.'

**************

Soldier Man...

you thought you were fighting for freedom

But the truth is you were lied to

About this war of conquest

you were getting into

**************

Soldier Man...

You pray, 'Father, forgive them

For their deception and untruth

That has led to this Hell

They've gotten us into.'
