“Hey Vinnie!” I knew you’d come back!” 

“N-N-Nunzio Valari?? Is it really you?” Vincent backed away quickly,
having heard of Nunzio’s reputation. 

“Yeah, I knew you’d come back to us someday... and now that you have
it’s time ta settle a few old scores. Know what I mean?” 

“Look, that was a long time ago.... Things have changed since then. I-”
Nunzio ignores him, slowly drawing out his hand, which had been hidden 
deep in the pocket of his trenchcoat. Then he extended his bare hand. 

“Wazza matta? Geez, a man loses his accent and his guts go with it ya
know? I just came to let ya know that da family, dey removed your death 
mark. It was yer uncle’s dyin wish, and with his standin in the 
organization we just couldn’t say no.” 

Relief shown on Vincent’s face and he shook Nunzio’s extended hand. As
they left, they were talking about Vincent taking on a position as a 
financial heavyweight in the company. None of this really registered to 
Nunzio. He was off in thought, wondering what Vincent, or “Vinnie” 
would think if he knew who set him up, or how his uncle Cid really 
died.
