They had such a large variety of toys that could talk, sing and make all
kinds of noises and this could be very irritating when a little one is
napping. Just walking by some of the toys will set them off. I knew
they would never have to worry about a burglar because if someone would
step on a toy in the middle-of the- night he might hear Watch it
Buddy!!

My worst experience was with the ABC butterfly. I could not get it to
stop saying, until you put all my letters back. I told my granddaughter
to put it in the bedroom and throw a blanket over it. That didn't work
the ABC Butterfly was still talking the next morning.

I was also having a hard time understanding all their cartoon
characters. While raising my children the cartoons were the
Flintstones, the Jetsons, Popeye and the roadrunner. Now there is
Barney I know who he is but, who is sponge-bob-square-pants. I thought
it was Swiss cheese but my grandkids said no mamaw it's a sponge. There
is Buzz Light year, teletubies, Blues clues, and the Big Comfy Couch.
Little Joeb explained all of them to me, but I still noticed they still
like a lot of the same books that my children liked.

My job was stressful at times, but nothing could beat the smiles, the
hugs, and the many times my grandchildren would say, I love you mamaw.
