| Hungry? | |||
It sits before me, cold and sweet. Three spheres gently cradled between soft, pale yellow fingers. ** A trickle of warm chocolate fudge flows over one the spheres beginning a slow and inevitable melting process. ** Strawberries, sweet and tart suspended in their own red juices lie gently on the center sphere. ** A bright yellow pineapple sauce, a gift from the tropics, mingles with the final frozen sphere. ** Each it's own pleasure, yet brought together in this one splendid moment. ** Clouds of cream, sweet, white and thick adorn the summits of the three frozen spheres. ** Alone, atop it all, resigned to its fate, proudly sits a single cherry. ** I look at the dessert sitting gloriously upon the table. ** How can I! I scream. But it is calling me. Waiting for me. ** Click here to read the rest of this story (35 more lines)
