Another one for Her.

Another day another poem for you. 

Another day where I can't get you off my mind 

Another day where I pray for you 

Again and again and again. 

Another day where I dream of you 

And me. 

Joy and tragedy. 

One must be prepared to face their worst nightmare 

As well as dream about heaven falling to earth 

Into your lap, onto your face in the form of a kiss. 

Another day where I'm without you. 

Another day spent like an AA member. 

I sip my cold comfort and regret like a soda water. 

I read and re-read my thoughts collected like butterflies. 

Like faded labels from favorite bottles of liquor. 

Another day, another poem, another torrent of tears fought back. 

And don't you dare tell me to let you go. 

Don't say you didn't want to hurt me, 

You only hurt me when you say no.
