The Big, Bad Wolf visits a woman a few times in her life. My first short story in a while, so PLEASE be gentle :oP.

The Love that Wouldn't Blow Away 

You've heard about the big bad wolf and Little Red Riding Hood. But have
you heard about the big bad wolf that walks love's path. Well, read on 
and you will.

Once upon a time, there was a man and a woman. Their love wasn't very
strong. It was made of gingerbread men and gum drops. It was a sweet 
and pure love of the young, one with many hopes and dreams of the 
future, but without any real base. The big bad wolf of the world didn't 
like them, wanted to destroy what they built, couldn't stand seeing 
them all lovey dovey. He huffed and puffed these words to break them 
apart.

What was brought together 

{Exhale} 

will fail because of loose boards. 

{Blew love to the four winds.} 

The big bad wolf won by a small margin. 

The woman crossed the wolf's path with a new love. This love was
stronger than the first. It wasn't made of fairy tales about knights in 
shining armor and damsels in distress, was made with maturity and 
compiled of situations beyond their control. The woman pledged her life 
to the man in hopes her children would be safe. The big bad wolf didn't 
like this either. He beat the woman before, knew he could destroy this 
too.

What was brought together

shall know no reward. 

{Blew love to the four winds.} 

The big bad wolf won. 

The woman doubted her own worth. What could have been the love of her
life, she has blocked out, was too afraid to fall prey to Love's sharp 
talons and enormous teeth. She closed herself off from the world to 
live a life devoid of love, and filled with bitterness. Until one day 
she was awakened by a sweet lover's long distance kiss. Their love was 
sweet, but built on lies. He promised her a better life only to leave 
her more wounded then she'd ever been before. One night she almost 
destroyed herself. The wolf didn't have to fight her too much on this 
love. It was doomed to fail.
