Foreword - AKA: A Very Long Author's Note, Plug, Random Info, and Other
Miscellaneous Drys. 

"Phoenix Heart" bears need for more explanation than the skimpy summary
allowed in FFN.  It's based off of an RPG (Role-Playing Game) called 
Shadow Star, played through email, without dice.  You can find out more 
about SS, or join it if you'd like, at 
http://www.angelfire.com/anime2/ShadowStar. The only characters that 
are mine in this story are Tyrona, Kylranal, Geribec, Kiranna, and 
Kenral. Geribec and Kenral are up for adoption to roleplay at Shadow 
Star.  If you join SS, and want to roleplay one of the characters in 
this story, just ask.  (Jessamyn and Ashalle are taken, however)  
Flaren is not taken, and I would love to have a good writer/roleplayer 
(the two usually go hand-in-hand) to roleplay him.  The characters are 
all my own creation, with the exceptions of Ryntan, Marcath, Jessamyn, 
Shay, Ashalle, and Shaytenelle. An explanation of bond names- all 
phoenixi names end in -nal, all dragon names end in -lle, and all 
flamecat names end in -nal.  There are other bond species as well 
(dolphins, kraenon, equines, maricorns, gryphons, etc) which aren't 
mentioned in "Phoenix Heart." You'll be able to see the full profiles 
of most/all the major (and sometimes minor) characters in this story at 
the Shadow Star webpage, probably in the Adoptables section 
(http://www.angelfire.com/anime2/ShadowStar/SSadopts.html).  I'll see 
if I can put the "Phoenix Heart" adoptables in a separate section.  (If 
I ever get them up!)  Flaren, Salri, Dirom, T'gar, Kalara, Draen, 
Allinor, Kyron- any of the characters in "Phoenix Heart" besides the 
ones listed in the second paragraph are available for roleplay.

in single curly brackets indicates public telepathy spoken by a 
bondcreature.} [[Text in straight brackets indicates telepathy spoken 
by a humanoid to their bond.  Only telepaths can 'path to beings other 
than their bond.]] ~~Text in double tildes indicates telepathy spoken 
by a god.~~ ~Text in single tildes indicates humanoid-to-humanoid 
telepathy, such as through the Council link.~ _Italicized text in 
underscores indicates private thoughts._ This is how things are in 
"Phoenix Heart," anyway.  They are mostly the same in Shadow Star, 
although some people use double tildes (~~) for humanoid-to-bond speech 
or vice-versa.  It varies from player to player. 

Well, enough of the major Shadow Star plug.  The story is far more
interesting, believe me. Enjoy "Phoenix Heart."
