Not sure where this one came from... been reading too much of Judith Wright's poetry lately...
 



He couldn’t see the door 

And he couldn’t see her light 

The next time he looks at her 

She’ll be gone 

She’ll be by herself too 

Away from the storm 

Away from his arms 

By herself 

Maybe one day they’ll 

Meet again 

She’ll cry, he’ll laugh 

They’ll hate 

He didn’t give himself 

To her... another day goes by 

And he’s alone again 

All alone
