| Nostalgic musings of a young man's daydreams. Enjoy! | |||
When I Grow Up by J P St. Jullian - When I grow up I want to be ...me! A writer of poetry and prose, don't you see. Or maybe I'll preach to multitudes of men, And save lost souls from debauchery and sin. - I could also make politics a lofty goal, With lots of great victories and fame untold! Or play the stock markets for days on end, Just biding my time waiting for the right trend. - I could be a fighter pilot soaring on high, Just me, my jet, and plenty of sky. Or maybe a policeman who protects and serves, By locking up criminals, oh, what nerves! - Or something simpler, maybe a barber cutting hair, And talking with customers who sit in my chair. And maybe, perchance, I'll win the lottery, Then go out and buy lots of Southwestern pottery. - But these are just musings, a fun part of my day, They help keep me focused as I go on my way. Now look up and notice me, I'm sure you'll agree, That I'm already quite grownup, as mature as can be! Tweet
