Because Last Night I Died, and today was Born Again
 



The deadly silence was broken by the rolling thunder from a nearby
storm, a flash of lighting lit up the room revealing Riska standing 
proudly above his prey. 

"Where were you last night?" 

In the woods. Answered Jessica in her mind. 

"Who with?" 

I can't remember. 

"You can." 

I can't! 

"You don't want to" 

Your right, I don't want to. I don't want to remember last night at all.


"Why?" 

Because last night I died. 

"Correct" 

I haven't said anything, yet she knows what I thinking, she knows my
mind better than I. 

"Correct again. Why did I kill you?" 

I don't know. 

"Wrong, you don't want to know." 

Fine don't tell me then, I don't want to know. 

"Aren't you curious?" 

Yes. 

"I killed you to make you-" 

-Like you. 

"-Like me, Death." 

God! 

"No Jessica, close though I am your deity, you will obey me." 

I'll scream. 

"Can you?" 

No, I think... 

"Go ahead and try." 

Tilting her head back Jessica let out a roar which seemed to echo
throughout the room, emptying her lungs of all the air stored up 
inside, and leaving a burning sensation. 

I can't breathe! 

"Were you before?" 

No, I think... 

"Correct our kind talks through projected thought." 

But... 

"Your lungs are useless, they will fade away in time. You want to
