poem of romance in this season

It is Autumn.

Do you remember the miles we walked, Together, huddled for warmth, Our
cold ears and noses, Laughing and loving in all those coffee houses?

Just one year ago?

And now I walk other streets alone, Kicking the yellowbrown leaves,
Watching the same skies we once walked beneath, And wondering what
you're doing now.

I'm still content, With memories of all the plans we made, And you, with
loving grace, Stood by me, and believed in my confusion, And kissed
softly, my weather-beaten face.
