I know it kinda jumps from point to point. But, it's about a man that chooses to remain by not enclosing his email address. He's seen me for who I am. I'm grateful for that and for his kind words. Feedback is always accepted.

A Man of Mystery

By: cowgirl_11

I have a man of mystery who has been writing to me. He never leaves his
email address. I really don't know why. It makes me wonder about him
though. Yes, I know who he is, kinda. I have his name and I have talked
with him before through the forum. But, I don't really know him. This
is in tribute to him and his gentle ways of making me feel special.
Even though I don't particular feel any more special then the next
person. Hopefully he doesn't mind the praise I'm going to send his way.

First I have to say, I have been a member of this site for a few years.
I haven't posted regularly until recently. My work isn't getting widely
read, not like some on another web site. But, that's not the important
thing for me. What is important is the feedback I get from other
authors on the site. The other site I'm a member of lets me know how
well I write. I have a wide variety of readers there. I expect it from
them.

Here I didn't expect anything, but to be taken seriously by other
authors. Some have helped me understand how to be a better writer. Some
have offer to review and critic my work. That is important to me. But,
there has been one that has stood out from the rest. For you I'm
thankful and grateful!

You first wrote to me to tell me that I was sexy. Even though you have
no idea what I look like. You find me sexy in the way I write. That
endeared you to me. It made you stand out. You found the hidden clues
in my writing. You found the real me.

The amazing thing to me is you weren't turned off by it, not in a sexual
sense. In a sense that you now know whom I am, I think. You understand
that little part of me that I try to put into my writing. In my eyes,
that makes you a usual man. Only in the sense that you looked and still
like what you saw. Not only did you like the real me, but you found me
sexy. Even though my husband now wants to track you down ;-).

You must have been an adorable fifteen years old. I can about tell you
why your girlfriends had Cadillac's and Rolls Royce's, but your wife
didn't. In the back of your mind, you saw your wife as the woman above
all women. She didn't need the things your girlfriends need. You were
more in tune with her for being her, and then you were with the other
women. It didn't bother you about the cars as much. Because in your
heart of hearts, you knew you didn't need that anymore. Does that make
sense?

I think you hit the nail on the head too. I do think that men get so
comfortable with the women in their lives that they do tend to forget
that she is, or once was, important. Men forget to show how much the
women in there lives mean to them. They just let life pass them by and
ignore what is in front of their face. Some come to realize it too
late. Some never come to realize it and wonder where things went wrong.
It's more then they just forget how to kiss. They forget how to make
women feel like women.

When a woman no longer feels like a woman, she is lost. Not only to
herself is she lost, but also to everyone around her. She doesn't
believe that she is attractive, sexy, and desirable, she believes
nothing. She feels like she is a shell that is just here to take up
space. Like the shells on a beach, she is as pretty as the next one.
She may even be above average in looks over some. But, she lies there
because no one is comparing her beauty to another shell. She has no
existence because she doesn't think that a man would want her anymore.
There is no one there to make her stand out and be noticed. It's not
conceitedness it's self-esteem. A part of every woman knows she is
pretty. To ignore that is to ignore the whole woman. To ignore the
whole woman, is to lose herself.

The way you look at your mother tells me a lot about you. You respect
women for who they are, not what they can do for you. That's pretty big
in my book. You respect them for what's on the inside. You're attracted
to the outside. But, you aren't scared to see what they are really made
of. You look beyond the beauty of the skin, to see the beauty of the
