A story about a serial killer with a slight twist to it

Jimmy sat staring at his grey walls, the weren't really grey he thought.
If void could be a color then that would be the color of these walls.
There were no windows that he could look out of. The only time he saw
any movement was when the guards would push his food in through the
slot to his cell. Jimmy missed seeing colors, he needed to see them.
He was lost without them. So about 2 weeks ago he started saving his
bread that was sent in with his meals. The started to mold immediatly.
Jimmy would stare at the colors they produced for hours. The colors
grabbed him and held him captive just like this cell he has been in for
the past two years. He started organizing them by color with the
lighter ones on his stained mattress and the darker ones on the floor.
The darker ones were his favorite, he especially liked the dark maroon
colors that would appear after a week of hiding under the mattress.
The color reminded him of blood, he thought that it was the most
beautiful color of all. Everything revolved around that color.
Everything revolved around blood, as long as it wasn't his. Jimmy
picked up one of his maroon pieces of bread and tossed it in his mouth.
His mind started to drift the way it always seems to do now. He layed
down on his bed and let his mind take over.

Jimmy is eight years old now. He is not a bright boy and is rather
large for his age. The older boys were always teasing him about his
weight. They would chase him and when they would catch him they would
beat him. Sometimes he was able to get away and sometimes he wasn't
able to, but no matter how much they would pound on him he would never
cry. This fact made him proud, it made him feel that he got the best
of them. Today is one of the days that Jimmy is able to get away from
them. He is taking a shortcut home from school when he here's the
footfalls behind him. He turns just in time to see the large fist
strike him just above the eye. He doesn't panic. He turns to run
hoping that they don't decide to chase him. They do. He runs toward
the brush along the railroad tracks. He sees the train moving slowly
down the tracks and decides to jump across the tracks. He does it with
moments to spare. The boys decide to give up the chase and head back
the way they came. Jimmy decides to take a walk along the tracks to
get home.

He is walking along the tracks as the train finishes going by him when
he heres a small scream. He freezes in his tracks thinking the bigger
boys decided to come back after him. He turns around but there is
nobody there. He heres that low scream again. He begins to look
around to see where it is coming from. Up ahead on the tracks he sees
what is making the sound. He walks toward the screaming, which he
decides isn't a scream after all but a loud mewling sound. He looks
down at the tracks and sees a small kitten lying in the middle of the
tracks. The train must of frightened the poor kitten he thought. He
bends down to pick up the scared kitten and it hisses at him, warning
him of what would come next. Jimmy ignores the hisses and picks the
kitten up, that is when he notices that the kitten had been cut in half
from the train. He realizes this too late as the kitten digs its small
but sharp claws into his hand. He screams in pain along with the
animal. He tries to pull the kitten off of his hand but it will not
let go. Trickles of blood start to run down off of his fingers. The
kitten starts to bite at his hand, digging its teeth deep into his
palm. He screams again and starts shaking his hand hoping to dislodge
the deranged kitten. It digs deeper into the flesh of his hand. The
blood is now spurting out of his palm. He is feeling weaker. He bends
back down to the tracks and does the only thing that comes to his mind.
He slams his hand and the kitten against the rail of the track. It
does not let go. He does it a second time with the kittens head
hitting the steel rail of the track. The blow works as the kitten's
body goes limp, it's claws still buried deep inside Jimmy's hand.

Jimmy pulls the dead kitten from his mangled hand. His body is
trembling in terror. His hand is throbbing with pain. He looks down
at his hand, it is covered with blood. How could such a sweet thing as
a kitten do so much damage to his hand. He stomach started to quiver.
He was going to throw up. He began to get angry. The incident
triggered something inside of him. He looked down at the dead kitten
and began to cry. This made him even angrier, and he did something
that he never thought he had in him. He lifted up his leg and brought
it hard down onto the dead kitten. The tears began to flow heavily.
Then a smile came across his face. He realized that he could inflict
pain, he was never going to run from the older boys again. He felt
happy for the first time since his father passed away. He headed home
