Everything is dark. I open my eyes to the bitter blindness of it. Where am I or am I? I can hear footsteps coming from somewhere or everywhere. I'm not really sure. My heart beats silently against my chest. I reach my hands out hoping to get a bearing on my situation. There are walls all around me. A door opens letting in a light as dark as the deepest cave. I think I just heard someone say my name, but I can't remember my name. They sounded frantic. “Where am I,” I shout? No sound comes from my mouth. Why is everything so dark? Tweet
