poem about how you cannot return to the past, but you can learn from your past experiences

Window to the Past

By Molly Ellen McMurphy

A shimmer in the air,

You search now for the source,

A door through which to climb

To what has run its course.

A window, not a door,

Is found by wand'ring eyes,

A window to the past

In which your future lies.
