Dreaming again

Seth and dying

I sit upright in my bed. “What the hell was that noise?” I'm thinking
out loud. I couldn't have been dreaming, I'm not even asleep yet.

The alarm clock says 2:30am. Tomorrow is Saturday. I get to sleep in.

Probably shouldn't even be in bed. There is still plenty of beer in the
fridge.

So what made that noise? It sounded like the wail of an insane woman.
I'm not sure what an insane woman sounds like, but if I had to guess I
would have to say I just heard one

My bulldog is asleep on the bed next to me. He's snoring. Why didn't he
wake up?

I need to turn the lights on and check it out. It sounded like it came
from this room but there's no one in here. Maybe the dining room?

I'm trying to walk but my feet must have fallen asleep. I can't feel
them on the floor. Weird, the hardwood is usually so cold this time of
year. I seem to be floating. If I can just turn on the light I'll be
okay.

I'm reaching for the light switch. I can see it. Why can't I reach it?
My hand must have fallen asleep to. I can't feel the light switch.

Shit this is weird.

Oh Jesus, I'm floating above my bed! What the heck... What's going on?
Why is the room getting so bright?

This dream is getting stranger.

Oh God, that's me in the bed. My eyes are open! Why can't I see me?

“Seth” The voice sounded familiar.

“Who said that?” I replied after a brief hesitation. “Mom. Is that you?”

“Yes son, let's go home now”
