Not everyone understands why people act the way they do. Sometimes they don't understand why, themselves. Sometimes the lonely person will do almost anything to be noticed.

Look at that crazy fool!  That car almost hit him.  Hey, watch where
you're going.  He's crazy, he doesn't think. 

He says, "What makes you think I don't?" 

Oh, did you hear what she said?  She's always doing or saying the wrong
thing, at the wrong time.  She doesn't use her head. 

She says, "What makes you think I don't?" 

He's funny.  She's a nut.  He's silly.  She's a fool!  He's a dummy! 
Neither one of them uses their head! 

They ask, "What makes you think we don't? 

I think about being alone, in a crowded room.  I think about making
people laugh, so they see me and talk to me.  I think about other 
people and wonder if anyone else is as lonely as me. 

I think about being alone. 

I think having no one to talk to. 

What makes you think I don't...THINK!
