Cycles of Love 2

II 

Circling the Toilet of Love 

~ 

Life goes on, darkness invades, 

soon enters another winner. 

Is this the one, 

or just another sinner? 

My heart still beats, 

but the muscle is thinner. 

Is he for real, 

or just another web spinner? 

Only time will tell, 

and the heart will know it's matching tenor. 

~ 

One heart repeatedly breaks. 

One soul constantly disembarks. 

Both lives dealt a pulverizing blow. 

No longer does arousal's sparks 

soar high in the sky. 

Sun goes dark. 

Candle gets subdued. 

Anchor's light sarcastically remarks, 

"You should have known better. 

It's what you get for swimming among sharks.”

Hear my prayer. 

Heed my words. 

Sit in my chair. 

Touch my heart. 

End my despair.
