A poem to remember Pavel Friedman and his "Last Butterfly." You may have died in 1942. But, you will always be remember by your amazing poetry!

In Remembrance

~

Fragments form,

take shape.

The picture

is the escape.

~

Butterflies used to abound.

You saw them everywhere.

Now they're nowhere around.

Thanks to a yellow one

we remember one that left the ground.

~

Fly high insect of color.

Wear your paint proud.

Don't let anyone

make you feel bowed.

Stand and face life as it comes.

Then soar off into the clouds.
