What does life hold in store for us? Will we leave behind nothing but a dead planet?

Running in

But running out

Things we hardly

Talk about

Do we make it

Through this mess

Are we breathing

At the best

What to call

The state we're in

Sometimes love

Sometimes sin

Will it be said

We did our best

Is the table

Ever blessed

Are there those

Who will attest

We ran the race

And passed the test

Now is God's

Time ever giving

Do we stop

And trust the living

Only time

Can say the end

Here and now

I must depend

Run the gambit

Ever hoping

Human race

and God eloping

This the end

Of earthly know

Left behind

No life bestow
