Karen and Lee finally meet, this chapter has a hint of sexual nature.

"Every day I need you even more and the night  time too, there's no way
I could ever let you go, even if I wanted to" 

Karen shifted her legs going somewhat numb with the weight of her dog on
her lap, she closes her eyes once again and her thoughts turn to how he 
forgave her for the past and was prepared to move forward.  She smiles 
as she recalled  how they made plans for thier first meeting and how 
they would react the first time they met. 

LEE - " uh hello? 

Karen - " hi, thank you" 

Lee - your welcome for what??? 

Karen - well for meeting me online I wasn't sure that you would after
what I did 

Lee, oh, well uhh how is whats his name anyhow 

Karen - I don't know, that ended before it got even started.  I was a
fool Lee, I wrecked what we had for what. 

Lee no you are not a fool, I was happy for you , I mean that you met
someone and all. 

Karen, (hug), I've missed you 

Lee - I've missed you too, so uhhhhhhh what happened.. oh its none of my
business you don't have to tell me 

Karen - hey, remember when we first started talking Lee we said no hold
backs no matter what... 

Lee- yes 

Karen - like I said I was a complete idiot a fool.  I realised that I
was just another possession he wanted, mainly because I belonged to 
you.? 

Lee - " Belonged to me?? 

Karen - "I don't know, I was a challenge I guess. What Matt sees and
wants is what Matt will try to get, it was a game to him.  When things 
went his way he was happy, when it went the other way... look out.  He 
was a kid, playing grownup,. and he sure has a lot of growing up to 
do." 

Lee and Karen continued to talk through the evening neither knowing what
to expect from the conversation but both wantng to pick up thier lives 
and carry on working towards thier future.  Karen knew that trust could 
be an issue betwen them, and vowed in her heart to never again hurt Lee 
in any way.  Lee admitted to Karen that he wanted to meet her soon, 
even after what transpired in the previous month.   Both knew that they 
 had to know what was bringing them together, and that they needed to 
meet one another.  So the plans began to take place for thier first 
meeting. 

Karen removed Riggs off her lap, she gets up stretching and yawning. 
Riggs looks up at her miffed at the relocation of his mistress and 
flops his big head back on the couch.  Karen laughs at the big beast 
and sits down on the love seat, her legs bent at the knees as her arms 
fold about them.  She reflected with a sad heart on thier original date 
they were to meet.  Tears still gather as she thinks about it and how 
it was a day that the world didn't seem safe, and a day when lives were 
cut short so cruelly by a madman. 

September 11th, 2001 

Lee and Karen had originally arranged to meet on this day.  Tragedy
struck and both were devestated.   Karen and her son spent the morning 
at home watching the horrific events unfold on the news.  Karen cried 
as she watched with helplessness.  She prayed that Lee didn't take an 
earlier flight to surprize her.  Numbly she went through the day, she'd 
look up at the sky, the birds were even quiet.  Never before did she
