who was running in front of Chikako got off the bicycle and said to 
Chikako. Chikako also is getting off the bicycle with Taichi. When you 
go to the storefront where a lot of vegetables are displayed as two 
people push the bicycle, The woman of Taichi's mother Sachiko and the 
middle age who had worn the apron was talking standing some. "Oh, Mr. 
Iwata,this radish are cheap. Your shop is rumored if fairly making a 
profit." "Such a thing is a lie, does not make a profit at all. Here 
holds out so that the guest is not taken away by the supermarket." "If 
you say so,a near town seemed to have been good at supermarket 
recently. Your shop is also serious." In front of the shop which the 
two people are speaking, Taichi tried to take Chikako, and pass timidly 
while pushing the bicycle gotten off. However, Sachiko has been noticed 
disappointing. Sachiko said to Taichi by a sarcastic tone that would 
turn to Taichi. "Well! It is unusual. this day a date to the girl?" 
"Differs! Came to take off the glove because played baseball and did in 
the plaza." "You and baseball. Study a little!" The appearance which 
Taichi and Sachiko say each other is seen, and Chikako and middle age's 
woman are laughing. As Taichi complains that the usual serif came out

sees the back figure of the boy who leaves and has thought that that 
boy comes. Therefore, it became difficult in the garden and entered the 
warehouse with Taichi. 

"Oh, A small disguising oneself danced around here." Do the turn one's

entrance when Chikako entered the warehouse and looked for the

doorway of the warehouse from which Chikako was standing, and a 
photograph naked of the woman was recorded in the cover of the magazine

the cover of the magazine, Taichi finds the glove and the voice has 
been raised. When Chikako turns to Taichi in a hurry and is reconciled, 
Taichi has approached Chikako while dusting dust where Taichi exists 
about the glove. "Chiichyan, this can arrive. " "Yes" Chikako was able 
receipt to take off the glove from Taichi and arrive it. "Give to this,

box was put away when looking for the glove given to Chikako and began

the glove. Two people went out of the warehouse, and returned to the 
storefront with the bicycle when Taichi put the glove in order. 

Sachiko approached two people when two people returned to the
storefront, and heard from Chikako. "Daughter, How is the name said?" 
"My name is Chikako Kawahara. " Chikako in good heart answered Sachiko 
who had become person's face which seemed to be good different from the 
time which had been called Taichi each other. "Chikako Chan, it is 
happily done as Taichi. " "Yes" "Taichi thinks that worries when 
disliked because there is not girl's friend either." "Mother, you may 
not say an extra thing. " Taichi floated trouble expression and said to 
Sachiko who was speaking with Chikako. Chikako is laughing again on the 
side of Taichi. "Then, goes because all wait. " Two people rid on the 
bicycle when Taichi said to Sachiko. "ChikakoChyan, moreover, smells 
play. " "Yes, it is and comes. " Two people began to run toward the 
plaza when Chikako said to Sachiko while having rid on the bicycle. "It 
is careful!" Sachiko is shouting in a big voice. Toward two people who 
are rowing the bicycle. Chikako turned back, and waved toward Sachiko 
though was disregarding by Taichi. 

The baseball friend seemed to get tired of waiting when Taichi and
Chikako arrived at a green plaza and played catch. "Gachyan, it is 
slow." "Oh I'm sorry. " When the voice of disgust is poured on Taichi 
by the baseball friend,the bicycle is stopped with Chikako near the 
fence,ran to the friend who was playing catch in a hurry. "Gachyan, 
KazuKun is put." Yhuki took and waited for Yoshikazu when Taichi and 
Chikako arrived at the place with the companion. The bandage has been 
still rolled in Yoshikazu's elbow and knee. "KazuKun, is it already 
safe?" "Yes" When Chikako anxiously heard from Yoshikazu, Yoshikazu 
nodded energetically. On the side, Taichi said to Yhuki as Taichi 
folded one's arms. "When the number of people becomes nine people, it 
is not divided that KazuKun enters though is good by the same number." 
"I am looking because there is no thing which baseball played a game 
and did. " Chikako seemed to have kept one's distance from Taichi who 
was folding one's arms and said. "It is not. About one person may leave 
a lot." Yhuki said to a surrounding friend. However, because there is a 
difference from the game of baseball with little number of people at 
the defense even if the child who has not done enters, all float an

of the attack sides is watched by children of the team of Taichi on the 
defense side. Chikako who had been standing near the fence was having 
the current seeing a fast ball of Taichi who had not seen and popeyed 
as Yhuki had said. 

Back of three times, when Chikako stands in the batter's box in the
pinch-hit of Taichi's team, Yhuki to have been the pitcher slowly threw 
the ball. "kakhn!" The sound of a metallic bat sounds in surroundings, 
and the ball which rises lightly flies to the light. Chikako ran in one 
base when the ball hit the bat as Chikako was said by Taichi. "pach!"

Chikako walked to the fence to which Taichi's team was sitting a little 
with a downcast air. "Chiichyan, the condition" Taichi said to 
disappointed Chikako as the following batter Taichi faced the batter's 
box. "I will go! Gachyan." "OK!" The face of Yhuki by which the catcher 
was watched became a strained expression different from time when the 
ball had been thrown to Chikako. Taichi who set up the bat also looks 
serious and Yhuki is watched. Held Yhuki threw the fastest ball to 
which I was thrown to Taichi. "Ball" Chikako in the plaza where the day 
is sinking, it is a sink as for the sweat, eyes must sparkle and the 
baseball friend who is enthusing about a white bowl, Chikako was 
watching happily. 

Chikako was not good at girl's friend though May came. Chikako seems
also to have given up the thing to have already made the friend though 
the thing that Mayumi's neurosis deteriorates more than ahead was the 
best cause, Chikako did not go out to the outside things except play on 
clinging Yhuki in the computer game when returning to the house. On the 
other hand, Taichi considerably mortified the thing defeated at Chikako 
because of the tennis game or did the tennis game when coming to 
Chikako's house many times taking several baseball companions after 
that thing. Chikako is the beginning, though resistance was felt in the 
thing of which Taichi comes to the house because it was happier that 
there is an opponent than does alone, it was habituated for Taichi to 
come to Chikako's house and to play a game. The part-time job, and 
Mayumi is an out day and day in which Taichi's baseball team does not 
practice. 

The first Monday of which it clears up May, Taichi was coming to
Chikako's house this day. Chikako tried to open the key to the front 
door from the neck with the key which had been lowered always when the 
school ended and  arrived in front of a house. "why?" Because the sound 
to which the usual key opened was not even if the key was turned to the 
right, Chikako turned the knob of the door to the left while looking 
doubtful. "kachi!" "Open." When Chikako becomes a little uneasy 
expression, opens the door timidly, and enters the door, As for 
Chikako, the nature adhered to the thing that Mayumi had taken a rest 
from the part-time job because a little low, black heel which Mayumi 
was putting on at the usual work. And, Chikako entered the inside 
looking for Mayumi when shoes were taken off and went up to the house. 
Chikako looked at surroundings feeling the sign where the person 
existed arrived at the kitchen and spent. The drop of water sometimes 
drips because of the faucet, hits the tub for wash, and the sound is 
made. And, the vase which stuck Chikako's sweets and the pink color 
rose was put from Chikako's back on the coffee table only a little. 
Chikako went to the usual sleep by three people 6 - mat room when the 
thing that there was no Mayumi in the kitchen was confirmed. Then, an 
expression which seemed to be painful was floated as Mayumi did the ice 
pillow on bedding and lay. "Mother" Mayumi answered Chikako in the 
voice to which consideration was not clear when saying in a little 
small voice to confirm whether Mayumi was asleep, "What?" "Mother, The 
boy of the same class which said Gacyan came, and the computer was 
promised to play a game together today. You may do. " Chikako timidly 
heard from Mayumi. "Yes, it is not so annoying though it is good. 
Mother, because very has a pain in the head today." Mayumi tossed about 
to the other side with Chikako when saying to Chikako in the voice 
which became ill-humored for headache. When Chikako goes out of 6 - mat 
room, and closes the glass door which has partitioned the kitchen and 6 
- mat room, Chikako went to the television and began to set the game. 

When Taichi and two baseball friends arrived at Chikako's house, began
to do the tennis game by the tournament as usual in the kitchen with 
the television. As much as one point was not able to be taken from 
Chikako and the defeated thing had disappeared though Chikako was 
strong as usual because Taichi also shortly passed to Chikako's house 
at another half month and played a game. However, Taichi moved the 
controller as the shoulder being stiffened because had not done to 
Chikako still by as much as one victory. "Gachyan, Win negligently. " 
Two baseball friends who had come to Chikako's house times how many 
another by Taichi's association, It seems to have been disgusted to 
finals as the game of advanced Chikako and Taichi is seen and complains

possible to win this time. Two baseball companions also seemed to get 
excited this time by Taichi when winning and were looking at the 
screen. Chikako mightily struck the first serving the tenth game when 
haste was going to be evaded and breathed deeply. Chikako and Taichi

ball floated on the inside when Taichi struck the ball which Chikako 
hit after several-time relays back, and Chikako struck the ball back 
and entered Taichi's court. "Got! " Taichi did the ball in the smash 
and the ball was stricken back to Chikako's court. A white ball rolled 
knocking against the wall in the back when flying in the direction 
opposite to the character of the game which Chikako was moving, and 
bounding in the base line. "Yes!" "Painful!" Taichi raised both hands 
and stood up in the place. However, it is overjoyed and hits the table 
that the right hand of Taichi who raised is after Chikako, the vase 
dropped to the floor in the kitchen when the vase put on the table was 
set up and rolled on the table and cracked. "Gashan!" Water in the vase 
which does not spill on the table is soaked in the water which mixes 
with the splinter to which the pink color which scatters with the 
splinter, and has stuck rose cracks, and scatters. Taichi and two 
baseball friends only had the face a little perplexed as eyes were 
opened wide. However, Chikako who knew that it was a considerably 
expensive thing that this vase was sent to Mayumi of a favorite flower 
on the marriage anniversary of year fifth from Tatsuya was a face which 
seemed to be going to begin to weep at any moment. "Garagara" Mayumi 
who heard of the sound to which the vase cracked opened the partitioned

boys. Then, because Taichi had honestly raised the hand, Mayumi came 
near to Taichi. "Bashi!" Taichi falls in the place, raises a big voice, 
and has begun to weep when Mayumi puts considerable power, and hits 
Taichi by mere of the hand. Though Mayumi tried not to care the cry of 
Taichi, and find out the name by questioning from Taichi, because does 
not answer and kept crying, the telephone was called to Taichi's house 
when the name was found out by questioning from Chikako, and looked up 
at the telephone number with the class list of names which was next to 
the telephone. Taichi went out running in Chikako's house putting on 
shoes while crying while Mayumi was calling. Two baseball friends who 
had come with Taichi also went out of Chikako's house following Taichi. 
Chikako kept crying because applied both hands to the ear to crouch on 
the edge of the kitchen, and so as not to hear the voice of Mayumi who 
was roaring for hysterically. 

When the class during the one hour of the next day ended, Taichi and the
baseball friend had gathered in front of the classroom always. Mother 
says "You may not go to such a house any longer". Taichi who speaks by 
a strong tone always partitions all and is speaking to a surrounding 
baseball friend in a very weak voice which differs always. Chikako was 
absent today. After all, Taichi's mother Sachiko made amends to 
yesterday's thing for the vase. However, because the cracking vase was 
a thing bought for as many as three years only with the limitation 
goods ago, the thing to make amends for the same thing cannot be done, 
it was said that bought time and same money would be paid. Therefore, 
Mayumi hung up the telephone considerably dissatisfying though decided 
the thing for which made amends. "All must not have spoken any longer 
with Chiicyan. " Baseball friends other than Yhuki are nodding because 
Taichi spoke yesterday's thing. "YhuKun is also useless. " When Taichi 
said to Yhuki which did not consent so much, Yhuki said, "I was 
impossible because it was near the seat" and looked embarrassed. "Then, 
YhuKun is good in class. But, the rest time is useless." Taichi said to 
Yhuki in a tight voice. After all, Yhuki nodded being pushed to 
surrounding atmosphere at the end though Yhuki looked embarrassed. 
"Understood, go out of the baseball team when speaking with Chiichyan. 
" Taichi who had become bullish by the thing that all members had 
agreed said all in a little big voice. Then, fear said that will be 
removed only by speaking with Chikako by the baseball team ran baseball 
friend's boys other than Taichi. Rain in which the coming of the rainy 
season is felt besides the classroom has fallen. 

When the next day Chikako went to school, attitudes of students of the
class to Chikako were dangerous things. In the bargain, information 
which Taichi of boss existence threw has simultaneously spread to the 
entire class when transmitting to the baseball friend. Chikako who did 
not know anything thought going to Taichi's place first of all when 
arriving at the classroom, and my apology for the thing which Mayumi

bell that the homeroom in the morning starts rang. "Garagara" When the 
Kawai teacher enters the classroom, has approached Chikako's seat

did you do?" The Kawai teacher anxiously heard from Chikako. "What

heard from Chikako who had finished crying again. But, Chikako does not 
try to answer anything. "Chikako Cyan, Not understanding in having 
become silent." Chikako did not answer anything though was asked so by 
the Kawai teacher. When the embarrassed Kawai teacher says, "The 
embarrassment. Then, let's go to the staff room later and speak", and 
went to the platform and the greeting in the morning was started. 
"Standing up, greeting, and sit-down" The voice of the child of the day 
duty by which the greeting in the morning is pressed sounds in the 
classroom. Chikako who heard the voice was looking seemed abstraction 
while sitting down at the seat when looking up, all bowing, and 
greetings. After this thing, Chikako came frequently to be absent from 
the school. After all, Chikako who did not say anything to the Kawai 
teacher in the staff room, Even if going to school, entered all, and 
was disregarded, and entered the state completely isolated. And, Yhuki 
only done to play in the house also acts from the transfer to exist 
that thing with Taichi at the rest time, and there is no chance to 
speak. Moreover, it becomes impossible for Chikako to have done the

When May ends, too and approaches, Tatsuya who was looking at Chikako
who is always playing a game without going out of the house until, 
Chikako's thing talked worrying with Mayumi, something lesson was said 
that made do. Then, Tatsuya has relative's house near the school to 
which Chikako goes, Circumstances were spoken and asked because had 
known the thing that Tatsuya's niece's Tae was open of the piano 
classroom in the house. Then, Chikako came to have commuted there on

holiday, when you go out by the promise by which meets the old friend, 
Chikako was playing a game as alone as usual. In the kitchen, Mayumi 
from whom the part-time job becomes a rest because of the shift is 
cleaning. Chikako was casually looking at Mayumi who got tired when 
playing a game by about two hours, and was cleaning in the kitchen. The 
sound of the cleaner sounds in the house. While hearing the sound, 
Chikako recalled the thing to do the fish hanging by Yhuki, father of 
Yhuki, and three people on the bottle gourd pond where the plaza

The day by can the fishing even of Chikako who does not have the thing 
to fish in the big catch after the nature catches the crucian carp and

with Yhuki. Chikako came to think that Yhuki fished on the bottle gourd 
pond and to want to go to the bottle gourd pond today when it was 
recalled. Because Chikako did not have wanted to say to Mayumi that was

shoes without taking the key to the bicycle from a small putting which 
was next to the television of the kitchen. 

When Chikako arrives at the bottle gourd pond, many people crowded a
pond which was not so large each other and the fishing string had been 
hung down. There was no appearance of Yhuki in that though Chikako 
looked for Yhuki while flickering seeing the people with side glances. 
And, Chikako thinks that goes to the place where a stone throw was done 
this time, River beach covered with round stones that the ayu fishing 
has not started yet did not have the shadow though walked to River 
beach of Sakawa river, and Chikako walked from there to the downstream 
looking for Yhuki. There was no appearance of Yhuki in that though 
passed each other with several people by Chikako when Chikako walked to 
the downstream. When Chikako keeps walking for a while, in a thing 
tired considerably walking on a thing and a round stone considerably 
away from the place where Yhuki and a stone throw were done and halted. 
And, a handy stone was found to be near, sat, and the flow of the river 
was looked at with the blank surprise. "shun,shun" The take a smell of 
as one collie which had the hair of the saver and white holds the nose 
to the Chikako vicinity of the neck muscle when Chikako is sitting on

you do in such a place?" "The friend is waited. " "Friend? Is the

"Then, because that helicopter also goes to the right when this lever is
blown down to the right. Hey, Do you neatly hear!" Chikako did not hear 
boy's speaking as the boy had said. When thinking that the helicopter 
of a yellow radio controller flew in parallel to the cloud which 
extends to the blue sky like the stripe, turns this time, draws to the

Though Chikako was looking at the helicopter of the radio controller
which the boy is moving though the sun inclines, the thing to return to

Mayumi of anything was recalled. "Come to do again " "Yes!" When 
Chikako nods gladly to boy's word, walked a little at a quick pace in 
River beach. 

When Chikako comes off Kawahara, crosses the bottle gourd pond, runs in
the bank, and climbs Because Yhuki had been seen to play catch with 
Yoshikazu in a green plaza, Chikako tried to get off the road following 
in front of from the bank to a green plaza. But, Chikako's foot stopped 
rapidly in the place had been gotten off from 2 to 3 steps. Do the

Chikako liked thing of two people very much. But, Chikako thought that 
I had the thing like the wall which was not able to enter by all means 
when was ahead with those two people. Chikako pierced, was moved to 
feelings not to be able to know this true character, and returned to 
the house at a quick pace through another road when the direction of 
the body was changed. 

After that, two days. There was no appearance of the boy there though
Chikako went to the river beach of Sakawa river by which the helicopter 
of the radio controller was driven with the boy after putting the 
satchel on the house when the school ended. The boy does not show up at 
all though Chikako shortly waited in the evening, Two days, Chikako 
waited to lift the ayu fishing and for the boy to come by watching the 
flow of the river in the river beach where those who fished increased, 
and looking at those who fished. The third day, Chikako similarly went 
to the river beach, and looked about the vicinity. Then, to the sky of 
which Chikako went back from the river beach to the upstream from which 
Chikako stands, a small thing which seemed to be the helicopter of the 
radio controller moved and turned. Chikako had the upstream and the 
bicycle run when returning in the river beach where had walked, and 
going to the bank. There is a road as can passed by the car when 
passing under Hujinitibasi through the bank, and deflecting from this 
side of the entrance of the Sakawa river cycling course to the right. 
Chikako got off the bicycle when coming to the road, pushed the bicycle 
as the sky worrying, and walked. When you walk as Chikako pushes the 
bicycle for a while, Chikako came near to the person because there was 
a person who was moving the helicopter of the radio controller with the 
machine which controlled radio controllers as much as the boy. It was 
not the boy but middle age's man. Chikako was disappointed. However, it 
was thought that there was still a boy somewhere, pushed the bicycle 
there to the upstream further, and walked. When the road which the car 
was able to pass changed into the road covered with the grasses, 
Chikako stopped uneasily walking when having come to the place which I 
did not know and tiredness. And, the key was pulled out when Chikako 
went to the stairs which went down in the river shortly suited and the 
bicycle was stopped and the waist was sold wholesale to the stairs.

while. "Bow, Bow. Bow, Bow." Chikako thought that I was called somehow, 
turned around behind, and stood up. And, when you pay the sand which 
places to clothes by the hand, slowly climbed the slope climbed the 
cycling course just behind the stairs where Chikako was sitting. When 
Chikako climbs the slope and goes out to the cycling course, the 
opponent on the road which can have been done with asphalt has the 
place which has flattened. 

The hut which folded, put the tinplate together there, and had built
stood. And, next to the hut, The collie tied to the stake driven in to 
ground with the chain shook the tail to Chikako and barked. Chikako 
came near to a collie because the collie was seen and understood that 
it was a collie at once which had held the nose to my neck muscle on 
the day which met the boy in the river beach. "Ticklish. " When Chikako 
is patting collie's head, the collie has held the nose to Chikako's 
neck and face as much as that day. Chikako rubbed my face against the 
face that fragrant of the soap of the collie which had held is. The 
collie is licking Chikako's face. "Chiichyan is lonely. Let's play 
together." After the moment play each other, Chikako said the head of 
the collie which did not have would the answer patting. "Chiichyan, It 
is a good name.  " Chikako looked back because had heard the voice from 
the back. Then, a man who had put on the length pair of trousers with a 
thick cloth though it was neither T-shirt nor winter of the long sleeve 
of dull dullness was standing before one is aware. "This dog, Ojichan's 
dog" (Ojichan is a word which means middle age's person's thing in

spottily some while smiling a wry smile when the question of Chikako is 
answered. "This dog, How is the name said?" "It is said Shun(�u). " "Oh 
dear, it is said Syun. Unusual name. Male?" "Well, female." "Then, it 
is SyunChyan. " Chikako turned to Syun when saying so, and played while 
calling "ShunChyan" and the name a little while ago each other. "But, 
Shun was seen to take to the person so much excluding me for the first 
time." The man sees Chikako, and mutters like one remark. "Ojichyan, 
Why does ShunChyan hold the nose?" Chikako heard from The man feeling 
the doubt in the action of Syun to which the nose was still held. "The 
nose of Shun is bad. " The man said in seemed a little lonely voice. 
After that, the head of Shun was patted squatting down when coming near 
beside Shun. "As for Shun, various arts can be done. " The man who had 
turned around to Chikako had the art done to Shun when saying so. 
"Hand!" "Opposite hand!" Chikako who had not kept the dog was looking 
at it feeling admiration. "May I do Chiichyan?". "Ah, Let's try. " 
Chikako had the same art done when hearing from the man so. After a 
while, Chikako who is having the art done to Shun as the man who was 
squatting down stands up, the man was said, "Then, let's did the 
special art", and unchained that it was about the collar of Shun. And, 
it was said, "Being going to go, Shun" when the stick of the tree 
shortly suited was taken and threw to the grassy place in the cycling 
course. Shun runs after the back of the stick of the thrown tree. Shun 
returned running in man's place holding Shun in the mouth when the 
stick of the tree was found from the grassy place. "Cool." The other

front of the mouth of Shun. Then, Shun put the stick of the held in

popeyed. "Chiicyan also, Let's try. " The man passed the stick of the 
tree which had to Chikako when saying so. "Yes!" Chikako is nodding 
gladly. "ShunCyan, Takes. " Chikako threw the stick of the tree to the 
same place as the man when saying so. "If such an art is taught, any 
dog comes to be able to do. However, it was serious that Shun made 
remember because the nose was bad." The man said to Chikako while Shun 
did the stick of the tree to taking. Chikako received the stick of the 
tree from Shun patting the head while floating the smile when Shun 
returned. The person who is running in the cycling course, so as not to 
turn the glance to two people, passes. "I will already enter the hut. " 
The man walked in the collar of Shun when saying so, and it was 
possible to arrive and walked to the hut on the chain. "Ojicyan, May I 
play on ShunChyan?" "Ah it is good. But, the chain is not removed." The 
man did not look back and said. "Yes!" Chikako watched the back of a 
man who got exhausted while saying so. The man opened the door of the 
tinplate when arriving in front of the hut and entered the inside. 
"Gatan!" After that, Chikako returned to the house riding on the 
bicycle on which rid when playing on Shun until the day grew dark. 

"Let's play janken. " (Janken is to play a game by the decision of
victory and defeat in the form of the hand. ) The light on the day 
which blazes right above in daytime inserts from the window of the 
classroom, and the shadow is made on the passage side where the day is 
not hit. Friday the next week.When five children finished ate the 
school lunch as for students of six groups,  janken by which who put 
away the tableware which was was decided was always done. Though was 
excluded Chikako, there was no thing to eat the school lunch alone 
because it was a rule of the school to harden in the group and to eat 
the school lunch. However, when eating though Chikako speaks, and was

Taichi and Hisako win first, and, next, going directly, Aiko, and Yumi 
come off, became Yhuki and Chikako's man-to-man fights. "Win of YhuKun" 
All Taichi unpleasantly said that Yhuki would defeat to Chikako in the 
voice. Children who finished eating go on Chikako's desk in tableware 
repeatedly. Chikako came to the school overworking though the condition 
of the body was a little bad because Mayumi had taken a rest from the 
part-time job this morning. Therefore, there was not an appetite either 
but existed without touching. "Kahn�c�c,Kahn�c�c,Kahn�c�c," The sound 
of the bell which informs of the end of the time of the school lunch 
resounds in the school. The Kawai teacher was having  leave the student 
in the classroom until lunchbreak when the student left the school 
lunch and eat. It was a dessert's alone without eating a mandarin 
orange alone though overworked and touched because Chikako had been 
left several times so far. "kachya, kachya." "gah�c�cgah�c�c." Children 
of each group put tableware in order, and the desk is returned to an 
original place. The child of the person on duty of the school lunch has 
approached in the expression called it is a trouble when sitting 
without eating the mandarin orange from Chikako. "Put in order early! " 
"Chiicyan is not eaten. " Chikako's face is a little pale. "Well, 
hatred of mandarin orange, unusual" Chikako refused when said so. When 
only Chikako subdues mandarin orange by the unit as for Yhuki which 
sees school lunch person on duty's child spoken as Chikako in a near 
seat, Chikako's tableware was piled up on six tableware on Chikako's 
desk. And, Yhuki was about to walk to the net which was able to be done 
with the iron to carry tableware in front of the classroom with it. 
Then, Taichi blocked in front of Yhuki, and said while frowning. 
"YhuKun, violation of the rule. " "Chiicyan is made bad so feelings. " 
Yhuki draws the wrinkle to the middle of the forehead. "YhuKun, Is the 
promise broken?" It was said to Taichi that Yhuki would be said so by 
Taichi in a big voice. "It is necessary to help each other when someone 
is embarrassed even if it is said that the thing of Chiicyan will be 
disregarded. " "YhuKun, useless, Is the promise with me broken?" Taichi 
urges a promised thing more than the necessity. "Gachyan is cruel ! " 
Yhuki said in bigger voice than a little while ago. Then, Taichi said 
to Yhuki in the looked voice that misinterpreted the face, and floated 
the smile a little. "YhuKun, might like thing of Chiicyan. " Yhuki 
which hears Taichi's word is petrified. "Gashan!" Yhuki cried because

of Taichi and Yhuki also, cries because the face turns down on the 
desk. Glances of the sound of Yhuki and Chikako's cries in the 
classroom, extending, and students in the classroom were turned by two 
people. Then, the Kawai teacher in the place in the desk of the 
platform came to the place of two people, and asked "Both, how did you 
do?" Two people keep crying as usual. "Iwata Kun, What was?" The Kawai 
teacher heard  from Taichi who had gathered not understanding what 
came, and nor standing in the place. But, Nothing was answered to 
Taichi. 

The Kawai teacher called that three people became lunchbreak in the
staff room. And, tried to ask again what was at the time of the school 
lunch. But, Yhuki and Chikako keep crying as usual, Taichi reddened the 
face without understanding what came, was do a face down, and said 
neither three people nor anything. Still, the Kawai teacher kept 
hearing from three people. Then, it was said it was unpleasant at the 
time of hearing by a face pale of Yhuki and Chikako. When the Kawai 
teacher who saw it takes two people to the health room in a hurry, was 
going to stop, and Taichi also returned to the classroom hearing the 
story any further today. 

After that, Two days after of Monday When Chikako who was sleeping to
Saturday in the house on Sunday comes to the school, there was no 
appearance of Yhuki in a near seat. Yhuki ran a fever after that thing, 
and took a rest on Saturday. Chikako and Taichi again kept silent 
without answering both of anything when becoming lunchbreak though 
Kawai teacher was called by the staff room. Though the Kawai teacher 
called three parents the day before yesterday, it was answered that 
neither three people nor anything were understood.Therefore, the Kawai 
teacher seemed to have been embarrassed for this matter, too. After 
all, this day, Two people do not answer anything until lunchtime ends,  
returned to the classroom with the Kawai teacher when the bell that the 
fifth hour starts rang. 

After school in day the same, Chikako was running in the cycling course
riding on the bicycle.Chikako was running in the cycling course riding 
on the bicycle. Chikako had gone to the place of Shun times how many 
another by this day. The day opens from light blue sky of thin cloudy 
weather, and a fresh wind sprays on Chikako's face. When Chikako gets 
out from the place where the tree has grown in abundance sideward of 
the road both, tried to stop bicycling near the place where Shun 
exists, and pull out the key. Then, Shun being unchained, Shun jumped 
and took side with Chikako who tried to pull out the key squatting 
down. "ShunChyan, painful." Chikako turned around standing up to sell 
Syun wholesale from the back when the key was pulled out with Shun 
shouldered. After that, Chikako says, "ShunChyan, eat this?" when the 
head of Shun is patted at a while, put in the vinyl bag and the brought 
cookie was presented in front of the mouth of Shun. "Musya, Musya." 
Shun is delicious, and eats the cookie. Chikako ate the cookie for 
myself while carrying the cookie to the mouth of Shun. When Chikako is 
eating the cookie with Shun for a little while, because the sound to 
which the door of the hut opened was, Chikako faced the hut.  Then, the 
man goes out, and has approached Chikako from the inside. "Chiichyan, 
There is not so much food in Shun. " "Ojichyan, I'm sorry." As Chikako 
mistakes to the man, the bruise of the amount of a man worried. 
"Ojicyan, How did the disregarding do?" Chikako seemed to have a pain 
in the wound to which nothing was treated, and heard. "Ah The stone was 
thrown by children. " "It is a cruel thing. " Man's wound is watched as 
Chikako frowns. "It was good on Sunday. " "Why?" "They are squids with 
a lot of people on Sunday, unchains and Shun is released. The stone was 
thrown to Shun when it was a different day." The man said in the pain 
while appropriating the hand to the wound. Chikako became painful even 
by me if man's wound was seen, and frowned the frowned face further. 
"Is it medicine credit, safe?". "Ah It is safe. " "Chiichyan brings the 
medicine from the house. " "No, because of unnecessary, safe." The man 
is floating a little ill-humored expression. Chikako who saw the man is

"ShunCyan, Hand!"

dragonfly is a nursery rhyme of Japan. ) Chikako who hears it, the 
nature adheres when it is time that Mayumi returns from the part-time 
job, The thing to return to the house was able to be succeeded to Shun. 
"ShunCyan, Chiichyan should return to the house any longer. " Chikako 
looks seem lonely. "ShunChyan, moreover, come. " Chikako walked to the 
stopped bicycle while saying so when standing up. Then, Shun followed 
behind Chikako. "ShunChan, Don't arriving! " Chikako persuaded to Shun 
squatting down when looking back. "ShunChan, Don't arriving! " The wind 
blows to Kawahara in the evening, and the hair of the body that 
Chikako's long hair and Shun are tufty shakes. "ShunChan, Don't !" 
Chikako said to Shun which attached no matter how persuaded by a strong 
tone and began to walk. But, Shun looked staring about, spent the 
vicinity, and followed Chikako. Though Chikako walked to the hut even 
if it is embarrassed, and says to the man, because Chikako felt the 
thing that does not approach the hut easily ahead, Chikako was not able 
to give up on the way, to do the thing very done, and have crouched in 
the place. Shun which follows sticks out the tongue on the side of 
crouching Chikako and breathes. Though Chikako was crouching for a 
little while, The chain reluctantly tied to the collar of Shun because 
Mayumi came back from the part if not returning to the house early. 
"ShunChyan, I'm sorry" Chikako said in the voice which seemed to cry. 
The vicinity begins to darken. Chikako did not part from the head the 
promise with the man, and was keeping standing for a little while. But, 
Chikako pierced the key to the bicycle in a hurry, got on, rowed the 
pedal desperately, and returned to the house when the face to which 
Mayumi was angry was crossed to Chikako's head. 

"Father, There is Mr. peacock!" "Is it larger than Chiichyan?" Mayumi
follows while floating an expression which is a little tired of Mayumi 
back where Chikako and Tatsuya are walking hand in hand. "Boast mother! 
There is Mr. peacock" Mayumi nodded only a little when was said so by 
Chikako who was bubbling over. The last Sunday in June of recess of 
rainy season which clears up well.The Kawahara family had come to the 
zoo in an Odawara castle municipal park. The neurosis would become 
cruel by this day, and Mayumi who had come to go to the hospital was

piggyback. "Chiichyan, Stop in such a place because it is dangerous." 
Mayumi said to Chikako by the scolded tone. "Safe. " Tatsuya said, 
"Chiichyan, it is for a moment. " when saying to Mayumi who was angry 
and took Chikako in the shoulder squatting down. "Oh!" When Tatsuya 
stands up, Chikako sees after a long time, and has raised the voice of 
admiration to the scenery from a high place. The town in Odawara which 
became small is seen in Chikako's presence, and the Sagami bay

explaining the scenery which looks from the observatory as Tatsuya 
opens the finger to Mayumi. Though Chikako heard the speaking in the 
Tatsuya vicinity for a little while, became trivial, and Chikako who 
averted eyes from the scenery and heard became silent and entered the 
castle tower in two people. In the castle tower, there was a souvenir 
shop, and crowded with many people. Though Chikako looks for a while 
and was spending in such a castle tower, when it was seen to speak as 
several boys were happy by the key ring counter in the souvenir shop,

goes to where! Embarrasses when lost!" When Chikako was found, Mayumi 
who had entered scolded in a big voice in the castle tower awareness 
the thing where Chikako did not exist. "Chiichyan, It was in such a 
place. " Tatsuya who followed behind Mayumi also looked embarrassed and 
 said to Chikako. "I'm sorry" Chikako is apologizing as Chikako hangs 
one's head. "Chiicyan, Go slowly." Mayumi tried to walk to the stairs 
which went down to the floor below when saying to Chikako so. "Father, 
that are bought." Chikako said to Tatsuya who had been looking at 
Chikako who did not begin to walk as Chikako pointed at the key ring 
which adhered dog's stuffed animal. "This?" "Yes" When the key ring at 
which Chikako pointed is taken, Tatsuya is turning over the price tag. 
"Chiichyan, Don't ! This front stuffed animal was only bought." Mayumi 
who heard Chikako and Tatsuya's speaking scolded Chikako looking back. 
Three people are seen as people of the circumference react to Mayumi's

Tatsuya said while putting out the purse which Tatsuya had been putting 
in the pocket after the pair of trousers to Mayumi who tried to pay 
money. "Uselessness, Only because Chikako depends too much when Tatsuya 
buys." When Mayumi says to Tatsuya in a blunt voice, Tatsuya cannot say 
anything, hangs purse the pocket in the pair of trousers back. "Become 
600 yen. " Chikako was feelings glad to be going to buy. But, when 
Chikako sees Mayumi who has put out money from the purse while 
strangely having a face which seems to be lonely, the feelings glad are 
gradually cooled, too, I who had said that would want to buy was 
regretted. Because Tatsuya started to say when going out of the Odawara 
castle, "Juice takes a rest while drinking", the Kawahara family went 
to the bench in the zoo and lowered the waist. Then, because fragrant 
of animals' excrement was, Chikako said to Tatsuya that that was better 
when be able it to be started to say that another place was good, and 
to do also by Mayumi. Then, it was said that Tatsuya would take a rest 
there because the courtyard of the Odawara city library in an Odawara 
castle municipal park was a rest room, and the family walked toward the 
Odawara city library because they had agreed both. 

"Father, There is Mr. deer." Chikako said to Tatsuya as Chikako who had
been walking on the road following the library as well as Tatsuya 
pointed at the cage sideward of the road. Then, the married couple who 
had taken one boy from the previous person walked hand in hand about 
sideward of the boy both. "I will go. Jump!" When the married couple 
who was walking standing in a row sideward both says so, and the boy is 
lifted by the hand, the boy has happily raised the voice. "Oh!" When 
Chikako who was walking as well as Tatsuya sees off while looking back 
to passing of the three people, came near to Mayumi who the face down 
to two person back and was walking and it was said, "Mother, Moreover, 
does have a pain in the head?" It was said that Mayumi refused, and was 
safe. But, there was no thing that a melancholic dark shadow disappears 
from Mayumi who greeted Chikako's eyes. "Go previously because 
understands at once if entering the entrance. I go to the parking lot 
which is beyond this and juice is bought. " Tatsuya said to Mayumi that 
the family was coming to the place where the library was seen. "Go 
together. " "Do not have to, Part from here for a moment, Buy as I 
run." When Tatsuya says so, and finds out what you want to drink by 
questioning from two peopleTatsuya ran to the parking lot at once to 
avoid tried to put out the purse from backing by Mayumi. Mayumi is 
watching Tatsuya's back figure while appropriating the hand to backing. 
Chikako who saw such parents had an awkward face and was petrified. 
"Go, Chiicyan." Chikako was do a face down and followed Mayumi when 
Mayumi said so and began to walk. "Mother, There is a cage there. " 
When two people arrive in front of the libraryChikako said while 
pointing at the place where the tree on the other side grew in 
abundance, and ran there. "Chiichyan, Go where!" Mayumi looks 
troublesome and Chikako is followed. When Chikako arrives in front of

in Japan. ) "Yosikun, Moved now. " "Mortifying! " When Chikako makes 
children exchanged and passes in front of the apartment, climbed the 
stairs, went in front of the room, and the knob of the door was turned 
to the right. "kachi, kachi" "Why, Close." As Chikako thinks that 
Mayumi might be going to shop the hospital on one's return, the key 
which came to be lowered to after Mayumi began to go to work part-time 
and Chikako's necks was taken out, and the key to the door was opened. 
"kachi" There is no high-heeled shoes puts on when mother always goes 
out to the place where puts on shoes when Chikako enters the door but 
there are only leather shoes of a man who has not seen, and some 
strange noise is heard from the interior of the room. Chikako doubted, 
and entered the inside timidly with noiseless steps. The door of the

arrives at the entrance of the kitchen and Chikako hears the voice of a 
man and the woman who does not understand there. To the kitchen, from 
the room in the interior with the heard voice, the cry of the cicada 
which entered from the opened window sounded, and the heat which was 
able to be steamed drifted. Chikako timidly approaches the room in the 
interior from the entrance of the kitchen. Chikako arrives in front of 
the room, the breath was drunk when moving to the room of the glance

already spoken now. Chikako wipes the tear with the skirt, the face 
which hung one's head is raised, and the bottle gourd pond is watched. 
After that, a while of Chikako, after had moved, thought of the thing 
of Yhuki by which it was nice to him whom the friend was not able to 
have done by as much as one person. 

When the sun was about to inclineThe elderly person with the gray hair
with the fishing tool has put the talk of the bottle gourd pond on 
Chikako who was watching the surface of the water squatting down 
ashore. "Daughter, Return to the house slowly.Mother worries. " Chikako 
stood up without a remark when was said so by the elderly person, and 
walked to the bank. Chikako did not want to return to the house. From 
it, Chikako wanted to go from it to the place of Shun. But, after 
breaking the promise with the man, Chikako who had not gone to the 
place of Shun was watching the surface of the water on the bottle gourd 
pond until the sun inclined while thinking how did. Chikako who climbed 
the bank halts and hangs one's head. Though it was scared that a man

chain when Chikako arrived at the place where Shun existed, the tail

Shun was seen the thing which had been endured up to now, and embraced 
Shun closely while loudly crying. "ShunChyan, Mother was�c�c, Mother 
was�c�c" Shun embraced closely in great force, the neck is placed 
between Chikako's arm and a tight collar and makes to painful. 
"Bow�c�c" Chikako was embracing Shun closely as leaning at a while 
while crying. Then, the man has come out from among the hut because 
heard Chikako's big cry. "Chiicyan, What went wrong?" The man heard in 
the voice to fondle crying Chikako, stands behind Chikako from whom the 
man is embracing Shun closely. Chikako parted from Shun when looking 
back in the man's voice, was held in a man this time, and took side. 
"Ojichyan, Mother was�c�c, Mother was�c�c" "Is mother of Chiichyan a 
what went wrong?". The man said while patting the head of Chikako who 
was crying, held the face to the hit of my stomach. "Mother embraced

"Chiicyan, In this, Ojichyan is a tune made in the school days. " The 
man said that the adjustment of the bowstring would end so and set up 
the violin in front of Chikako. And, the man began to play the tune 
said making in the school days. The sound of the violin wraps none of 
Kawahara who has the evening, the grass waves as being shaken by a 
graceful examination in the wind.  Shun came near to Chikako's side 
when listening to the blank surprise and the tune with Chikako had 
stood, and sat on's feet. The man is playing the phrase of eight bars

different from the monotonous melody always played in the piano 
classroom, knowing, leant against Shun and fell into to sleep. 

Insect and frog's cries sound in the river beach of the night, the sound
of the water which flows in the river wraps the river beach. 

"Uh�c�c" As for Chikako, the sultriness of the remainder woke up.
Moonlight inserts from the space of the ceiling, and the inside is 
shone on faintly. Chikako to whom consideration was not clear by living 
tried to face the light and the neck was moved. Then, because a thing 
tufty in the Chikako vicinity lay, was surprised, got up, and the tufty 
thing was paid to attention. "ShunCyan!" Chikako patted the head of 
Shun which was the sleep in my vicinity when saying so. Chikako thinks, 
"Maybe, here might be in the hut" while patting Shun, felt the wall 
while crawling even if looking for the door. "Bow!" Shun barked 
conjecturing that Chikako wanted to go out of the hut. "Gatan!" 
"Chiichyan, Did you get up?" The door opened, and the man said as the 
man looked into in the hut. "Yes" When Chikako answers, crawled and 
went out to the outside. "Chiichyan, Looking up" The man said to 
Chikako who had stood up putting on shoes. Chikako looked up at the 
sky. The moon shines to the night sky in the river beach without the 
outside light, and the constellation in July is blinking. "Beauty" 
Chikako has instinctively raised the voice. "I like to see the star 
here. " The man who was looking up at the sky muttered squatting down 
and said so. Chikako who heard it faced a man. The face of a man who is 
looking up at the sky is compared with the light of the moon, and eyes 
shine. Chikako was watching the pupil of the man who shone lonesomely 
for a little while. "Chiichyan, Hungry. Does eat bread? " The man said 
to Chikako for a while that would see the star by two people. "Yes!" 
The man went to the hut when Chikako nodded happily and brought two 
French rolls. And, one was passed to Chikako. "It is delicious! " 
Chikako who had not been eating anything since daytime raised the voice 
and ate the French roll delicious. The man is having eating the French 
roll torn to Shun to sit on the Chikako vicinity. Chikako looked about 
the opposite bank while eating the French roll. With the mercury light 
of the factory, an orange town light of the Toumei expressway which 
queues up like beads shines gaily. Chikako who had seen it was sad 
feelings why. "Shun, Let's wash one's body. " To Shun when a man who is 
having eating the French roll squatting down says so and stands up, 
moreover, has gone out with soap and the towel this time enters the 
hut. Shun runs happily about man's surroundings. "Chiichyan, Help me, 
because the body of Shun is washed. " The man said as the man walked to 
Chikako who had been looking at the opposite bank while having standed 
up. Shun follows happily after the man who began to walk. "Wash where. 
" Chikako heard while halted. "Wash in the river. " "Well" Chikako 
followed a man while inclining the neck a little when said so. The man 
asked when it was necessary to remove the collar of Shun to Chikako as 
the man took off shoes in the hillside on the stairs. "Oh" When the 
collar of Shun is removed as Chikako counts on only the light of the 
moon, the fierce battle fighting hard is done. Between those, to enter 
the river, the man was rolling up the skirt of the length pair of 
trousers.Chikako removed the collar for the desire barely, the collar 
was put on the stairs while saying, "Outside", and the man was faced. A

body. After that, when the man and Chikako go up from the river, goes

hillside. The man is wiping Chikako's foot with an old towel. Chikako 
was looking at Shun which swam in the river while being wiped the foot 
for a little while. However, after a while, the thing of the anxious 
wound was asked to the man. "Ah this, wound bitten by Shun." "Oh! by 
ShunCyan. " "Yes, it is so. " "Why?" The man spoke to Chikako while

not to reach the puppy. After that, a man began to walk even if the

for the burial somewhere. However, in terrible power which tries to 
approach puppies of Shun, the man strikes to ground and the applied 
paling comes off, Shun bit to the leg of the left leg of a man who had 
the cardboard box. When the cardboard box is dropped as a man raises 
the voice to the pain in the remainder and falls, Shun goes by the 
cardboard box and has not moved there. "At all, It was painful. It was 
thought that died. " "After that, how did you do?" "There is no other 
way, There might be a tree near the hut. " "Yes" "The chain was bound, 
and taken up in it. " "Well" Chikako was surprised to hear the one side 
of Shun which I had not seen and was opening eyes wide. "And, how were

here near the bottle gourd pond it was more in the downstream." Chikako 
is nodding as Chikako recalls the thing when meets Shun for the first 
time. When Chikako asked the man, the man answered while smiling a wry 
smile, "Two of the remainder also died at once". It was a lie. When the 
puppy which died of Shun was taken up, the puppy which was alive also 
took up the man. And, if it is not possible to keep even if Shun is 
born at the time of the pregnancy, the man has understood, because knew 
bum's dog does not have the recipient, two puppies which were alive 
were killed when six puppies which had died were buried and buried 
together. However, there was be sure to being able not to say to 
Chikako that I did such a cruel thing, and the man told a lie this 
time. "ShunChyan, Poor" Chikako muttered as Chikako hung one's head. 
"Because Chiichyan is a girl, feelings of Shun might be understood from 
me. " When the man stands up while saying so, goes down the stairs, 
summoned swimming Shun. With Chikako sits on the stairs, becomes 
feelings sad to see the back of a man who does not have the power 
compared with moonlight, Chikako recalled grandfather Shozo's thing 
why. 

When becoming the next day, though the man told settled a little Chikako
the return to the house, Chikako refused while trembling.Chikako spoke 
circumstances where a man was not able to return, "The father is out in 
the business trip, There can do nothing but be mother and two people 
even if returning to the person. " But, seemed and it was not possible 
to transfer a man it to have insisted that return to Chikako many 
times. However, while insisting many times, because a man was not good 
at thing to admit me who adjusts mother  who did such a thing and 
Chikako only to two people, reluctantly made to the thing to take in

back from the business trip. And, because I was not a member of

because had understood man's standpoint well, and slept to Shun in the 
hut in daytime, and the night played on Shun in the river beach and was 
spent. However, because the face that mother is abstracted by all means 
because of the head did not want not to disappear, and return to the 
house by the tremble by Chikako, when the day when the father comes 
back from the business trip to a man is asked to Chikako, after all day 
long from an actual day, the day was said. It was the next day that 
Mayumi's lie had come to light where Tatsuya had returned from the 
business trip. A true by all means thing was not able to be said, and 
Chikako made to the thing done to staying in the house of Yhuki 
momentarily though the thing that the lie does not pass was understood 
when Tatsuya came back to Mayumi. Tatsuya has completely believed 
Mayumi's lie by the thing it does not know what was between Yhuki with 
Chikako and the thing whose day where Tatsuya returned from the 
business trip by chance is Saturday. And, there was no thing that 
Chikako came back even if the evening of the next day came. "Call. " 
When Tatsuya says to Mayumi who was sitting opposite to the table of 
the kitchen, stands up and the direction of the back, took the receiver 
of the telephone which was next to the television. Mayumi was looking 
at the appearance that Tatsuya was calling with the body which was 
frozen of the whole body had been made to sit. "Not coming. " Tatsuya 
said turning around to Mayumi while having a mysterious face when the 
face was separated from the receiver talked over the telephone. When 
Mayumi sees the face of the husband who is not suspecting himself at 
all, the consideration of a strong crime to the thing which I had made 
a daughter sprang, broke down with sitting, and the face turned down in 
the table. Mayumi's big cry sounds in the room which dyes an evening 
glow color. hough Tatsuya was looking at Mayumi who seems not to 
understand how to become, and nor is crying for a little while as the 
blank surprise, returns to me in the voice said, "Hello" of hearing 
from the receiver, Tatsuya said, "I must be going" when a little 
speaking with mother of Yhuki and put the receiver. Tatsuya who had 
looked back must feel something Mayumi,  and crying Mayumi is watched. 
Tatsuya said while shaking Mayumi's shoulder by the hand when 
approached Mayumi and squatted down by "What went wrong?" and a strong 
tone. When Mayumi is said so by Tatsuya, thing which I did, thing that 
Chikako has seen it, And, Chikako went out of the house and the thing 
not having come back yet was spoken honestly. When Tatsuya who hears it 
stands up to shake off angry to the wife who forgets oneself, to put 
out the search wish, the police were called. 

A gray cloud hides the mountain of huji under a cover, and mountains of
miyoujin and Myoujyou are wrapped. 

Wednesday the next week, the man had come to the back door of the school
lunch room in the elementary school which was to be near. "I'm sorrying 
always" "It is good. When embarrassing, each other " The man has 
received the vinyl bag which the French roll enters from the aunt who 
put on the white robe for the school lunch room. "Is it such good?". 
"Good afternoon Fully remained. " The aunt of the school lunch said to 
the man while floating a gentle smile. After the man had settled in the

had in both hands. Chikako was reflected in the photograph had been put 
on the signboard. When the man who was keeping standing for a little 
while returns to me, picked up two bags in a hurry, ran, and faced the 
hut. Chikako planned to return on Sunday. But, Chikako also refused 
when telling that the man returned on Sunday. Though Chikako also 
thought that returns when Sunday comes first because the house had 
already been vacated on the first since the day where Tatsuya returned 
from the business trip, has not understood how only has to answer if 
returns and the reason to vacate the house is asked by Tatsuya. The man 
ged mad really with such Chikako's attitude, the man drives out Chikako 
besides the hut, locked when the door of the tinplate was closed and 
Chikako was prevented from putting.  Chikako has begun to weep after a 
while when reluctantly leaning against the door. Though a man goes to 
the interior of the hut so as not to hear the Chikako's cry and closed 
the ear with both hands, the cry of Chikako who enters the ear is not

There was no appearance of Shun there with Chikako when entering while
the man was arriving at the hut. There was no appearance of Shun with 
Chikako though the river beach was looked panicking and spent because a 
man had not had the thing that Chikako went to play in daytime up to 
now. Drizzle begins to get off in the river beach, hits the roof of the 
tinplate, and KanKan and the sound are made. The man closed the door 
when reluctantly entering the hut and lay. The man is watching the 
ceiling in a dim hut. The man comes to toss about for side. The man who 
had copied the wall of the tinplate onto eyes recalled, saw with the 
television when was a junior high school student, the riot police and 
policeman's appearance arrested assaulting the student who is occupying 
the schoolhouse of the university, and people who are participating in 
anti-war meeting. 

Rain which had begun to be gotten off in daytime gradually became
violent. 

About evening when rain became drizzle a little, Chikako and Shun
finally came back to the hut. "Ojicyan, Gotten wet. " Chikako put Shun 
in the hut when entering the hut while saying so and closed the door of 
the tinplate. "Chiichyan, Promised not to go out to the outside in 
daytime. " The man said by the tone to which it was a little angry. The 
face down of Chikako. "Went where. " When a man heard so, Chikako 
answered with the face down, "Sheltered under the bridge because it had 
rained rapidly when playing on Shun near the Houtoku bridge which was". 
"Ojicyan, I'm sorry" Chikako is apologizing because fears the attitude

interior of the hut and put in front of him. When Chikako gets wet a

the face to the wall on the side. The man said to Chikako in a gentle 
voice which differed a little while ago that sat again and sat 
straight. "Chiichyan, Let's already return to the house. " The look of 
a sad man to whom had been cornered was turned by Chikako. Chikako

applied to t he shell of both hands.  Chikako also began to weep when a 
man who was crying because Chikako who heard the cry looked up was 
seen. The cry of two people sounds in a dim hut. And, to lack and to 
erase the cry, the roof of the tinplate was beaten and the sound of 
applied rain became violent. Chikako who kept crying because forgets 
oneself, after a while, Chikako set up the face feeling a cold thing in 
the hit of my lower half of the body.  Then, the man was touching 
Chikako's lower half of the body by the face which had clung to 
something. "Ojicyan, What is done. " The man does not try to stop even 
if Chikako says in a voice embarrassed of Chikako. "Ojicyan, Quit! " 
The man kept this time touching though Chikako said in a big voice. 
Chikako who had become scary ran away to the edge of the hut. The man 
approaches while seeing Chikako by eyes by which a man goes mad. 
Chikako turned the face to the wall while trembling when the man came 
beside of me. "Gabu!" Moreover, Shun bit to the right hand of a man who 
had tried to touch Chikako's lower half of the body. "Painful!" The man 
tries to shake off Shun bitten as a man raises a sorrowful voice. When 
Chikako goes out of the hut to becoming empty of which the man and Shun 
jostle and puts on shoes, ran in the cycling course where the downpour 
fell. 

Chikako who had thought that the man ran after sprinted. "zah�c�c!" In
addition, the downpour which has fallen a little while ago strengthens 
the density of falling rain. When Chikako turns the face a little below 
so that rain should not catch one's eye, sideward eyes kept being not 
shaken and run.Chikako who had been running without thinking about the 
destination looked up by chance. Then, with the boy who drove the 
helicopter of the radio controller together in the river beach, the 
slide to which the boy had been sitting caught one's eye when starting 
and meeting. Chikako entered the hole where the side of the slide was 
run through when passing under the hedge of the Rensyouji park. Chikako 
who entered the hole c rawls and advances toward the interior. When 
Chikako arrives at the center of the hole, sits holding the knee, has

of the slide. Chikako kept saying �gShunCyan,Scary." many times while 
clinging to Shun. 

When ten o'clock of the night is passed, rain is complete and seen, some
stars were blinking from the space of the cloud. "Hey! In the hole 
something it. " One boy in boys who had come to collect in the 
Renshuoji park after rain had gone up said all in the heard voice. 
Surrounding boys gather. The boy who found first shone on the writer

be going to bite at any moment, gave up and went out of the hole. After 
that, the boy ran toward the pay phone near the park to call the 
police. 

"Omawarisan, It is there. " The boy who informed a young policeman who
came to the Renshouji park the motorcycle pointed at the hole of the 
slide and said. "Ah there. understands. You must return to the house 
because I do. " Boys do not try to move at all though the policeman 
said in the voice which boys where the policeman had collected in front 
of the slide also heard. "Hey, returned, and returned. " When the 
policeman goes in front of the slide while saying so, boys were driven 
away ahead of the hole of the slide while making a gesture as said 
removing. Boys have the face to be sulky being deprived to the 
collecting place though the good thing was done. "Let's go to the 
second park. " When one boy says in the voice to be sulky, boys have 
scattered to Renshouji the second park riding on the bicycle stopped 
sideward of the road.Boys who run on the road as the light of the town 
light rows the bicycle, erases when shining on. Though the boy who had 
informed was looking at the hole having a seat in the saddle of the 
bicycle for a little while, the boy who had informed that all 
surrounding boys were gone also disappeared in Renshouji the second 
park. A young policeman shone on with the flashlight with in the hole 
when making sure that boys were gone. Then, one dog and one girl were 
seen to be drawing close in the hole as the boy who had informed had 
said. "Bowwow" Shun groans as Shun threatens to the policeman. "What do 
you do late so in such a place?". The policeman said while shining on 
Chikako's face with the flashlight. "Hey, Hey" The policeman is calling 
Chikako who does not get up even if calling  many times. "Uh�c�c" 
Chikako woke up because had been called many times while being shone on 
the face by the flashlight. "You goes out and exist. " Chikako does not 
try to fear and go out though said as the policeman beckons. "Because 
Omawarisan came, it is already safe. You goes out without fearing and 
exist. " Chikako who does not understand who is shining on me because 
is shone on by the flashlight when the policeman says so learns that 
the person who is shining on him is Omawarisan, went out from among the 
hole thinking giving somehow or other if was Omawarisan.  It has been 
understood that the policeman is a girl to whom the search wish is put 
out only a few days ago when Chikako who went out of the hole is seen. 
"Let's return to the house with Omawarisan. " The policeman thought 
taking to the police box once when saying so, and turned the left hand 
to Chikako's shoulder. "Gabu!" Shun attached behind Chikako and Shun 
which had come out from the hole bit to the arm of the left hand of the 
policeman who had turned to Chikako's shoulder. "Sore! Release! " The 
bitten policeman backed away, and fell on ground in the park. Shun 
keeps biting the left arm of the policeman who fell as Shun shakes the 
body. Shun bitten as the policeman floated a painful expression was hit 
and only the desire was hit by the right hand. But, Shun is not about 
to release the bitten arm. "ShunCyan, Quit! " Chikako who had been 
keeping standing in front of the slide shouted toward Shun. As for the 
policeman, when the policeman's club which was able to arrive at the

the face of Shun. "Kyan!!" Hit Shun did not move when was blown off, 
and fell on ground for side. "ShunChyan!!" Chikako who had seen it 
fainted when the name of Shun was shouted in the voice of the scream 
and fell in the place. Some lights of the room in the municipal 
management house which is on the opposite side of the park light up, 
the resident opens the window, and has looked for the park. When the

got up slowly. Shun to get up staggering approaches Chikako. The 
policeman was looking at the appearance that Shun walks while feeling a 
few trembles for a marvelous intention of Shun which tried to defend 
the Chikako. "Bowwow" Shun groans threatening as Shun where bleeds 
stares at the policeman from a left ear and the face just beside 
falling Chikako. The policeman who saw it judges that another cannot 
solve, steps over the hedge while seeing Shun with Chikako and goes out 
to the road, took the mike of the wireless system machine which had 
placed to a left chest and called assistance. Shun sees the policeman 
calling assistance by the wireless system, felt that the companion had 
been called by animal's instinct, Shun ran away to the road following 
the river beach with Chikako had been left. 

When Chikako woke up, on the bed in the hospital there. �@Chikako is
three days from that, kept sleeping in the bed in the sickroom of the 
carried Odawara municipal general hospital. "Chiichyan!" Tatsuya who

hospitalized when the examination of Chikako ended, and only Tatsuya

diagnosis result by Chikako to Tatsuya in the examination room. And, in 
the future, it is not necessary to be hospitalized for a long term, and 
because abnormality did not go out of the brain and the body in the 
thorough examination, though it is possible to leave hospital when the 
appearance is seen for three days from two days, after Chikako had left 
hospital, it was said that would want to go regularly to hospital at a 
while. The condition of actual Chikako, though it was the voice is not

"Chiicyan" "�c�c" Chikako's doing the look like the sleepwalking

Koutarou had the face by which Koutarou who was looking at it in the

When the taxi which took four people arrived at the house, Noriko took
Chikako to the Japanese-style room in which being most in interiors 
from the door to the house. When two people arrived in front of the 
Japanese-style room, Noriko opened the sliding door. In the 
Japanese-style room where sits on bedding, Chikako's luggage is 
beautifully displayed to the wall side. Noriko has Chikako change of 
clothes to pajamas when entering the Japanese-style room while affixing

mother Mayumi. 

Wednesday after two days, Tatsuya submitted the resignation to the
company on this day. Angry to Mayumi had been filled in Tatsuya's mind 
until Chikako was found. However, feelings by which the shiftlessness 
of me who was not able to do anything until my daughter becomes such a 
miserable appearance is blamed have strengthened more than feelings by 
which Mayumi is blamed. Until the day before of this day, Tatsuya who 
kept blaming me because it is absent from the company and stays indoors 
in the room, turned the cause by which I was not able to do anything to 
Chikako to busy of work. Moreover, by this day, Tatsuya asked whether 
you were going to do the friend in the university age when the ranch 
was managed in Nagano Prefecture whether it was a cod in that, and had

opened rapidly. The memory lost in Chikako's head revives. When the

where" in a voice in a hurry, and ran after Chikako. Koutarou keeps 
reading the evening edition thinking that Noriko will capture. Chikako 
put out my bicycle from the bicycle depository which was next to the 
door when slipped on and put on shoes so that was not caught by Noriko, 
got on, and rowed the bicycle desperately toward the cycling course. 
"Wait!, Chiichyan " Noriko who arrived at the door ran after Chikako's 
bicycle running when put on sandals in a hurry. But, Noriko was not 
able to do the thing that the speed of Chikako's bicycle is followed, 
gave up on the way, and halted. 

Chikako rows the cycling course and the bicycle is rowed desperately
toward the place with the hut. "Dah�c�c�c�c�c�c" The roaring sound in 
the muddy stream in the Sakawa river which rose for the downpour which 
had continued every day resounded in the river beach and the cycling 
course region. "Sechyan dies." Chikako is passed as two boys who rid on 
the bicycle talk. Chikako was done such a thing by the man and came to 
hate man's thing by did not want to see the face. However, Chikako who 
had remained the memory of a kind man who had taken in man who did not 
apply by going in the hut worried whether a man had died really 
somewhere of the mind. When Chikako came to the place with the hut, 
many people had gathered in surroundings of the hut. "Suicide" "The

bicycle is stopped sideward of the road and see the hut. But, there was

the hut, this student said, "Was there someone?" and opened the door 
from among the hut because the stink was. Then, the blood which

to be depressed in the interior of the hut was rolling. Though the 
student who had seen it falls in front of the hut while screaming, and 
trembled for a while in the shape, this student came toward the nearby

to stand up with all speed. Chikako is keeping standing as Chikako 
watches the hut. The sky of the evening after the rain had dyed madder 
red. Chikako came near to Chikako by the policeman that a close 
retirement age ages when it was anxious in the hut and approached the 
hut and aged policeman said, "It is useless from here when entering 
ahead". Chikako asked aloud it was not possible to put out up to now 
though looked up at policeman's face when was said so by the policeman. 
The voice was speaking with a local accent of Hiroshima why. "Ojicyan, 
Died. " "Ah" Chikako was told that the policeman muttered. Chikako fell 
behind when said so and watched the hut again. The Chikako's eyes were 
moistened a little. The policeman returned in front of the hut when 
making sure the fall behind Chikako, and, turned ahead and the memory 
of the man was retraced. This policeman's having met the man, when a 
man settles in the hut, the report is received when there is a young

course and lives, from the citizens who do not know that the prefecture

that, this policeman visited the hut many times, and it was said, "Work

kept visiting many times, and persuade the man, to the man who refuses

persuades, stopped becoming painful, and persuading. There was a reason 
why this policeman had courted the man many times. It, the reason is 
that a son who is just the same age as a man exists if alive. At that 
time though the policeman thought if policeman's act of me who makes to 
a man who kept refusing was not wrong, regretted when kept saying more 
and a man only had to society return forcibly when becoming now since a 
man had died. My son and the man's faces when the policeman who is 
standing in front of the hut looks up at the sky, and it is alive are 
imagined. The tear had come into in the policeman's eyes. The policeman 
in this police box of two people where the report of the student who 
found was received only confirms the corpse and does not touch the hut, 
 was waiting for the assistance of the judgment etc. when contacting

turned the glance to hearing the voice, when Chikako arrives at the 
place where the road below is seen. Then, the track in the public 
health center stopped in Chikako on the road below for the carrier, and 
Shun was put in the cage having been loaded by the carrier. "Bow!, 
Bow!" Shun keeps barking toward Chikako. "ShunChyan!" Chikako descended 
running on the road which had been climbed when meeting Shun for the 
first time in front of the hut when shouting toward Shun. "Bhhhun!" The 
track where Shun was put begins to run. Chikako who arrives at the road 
below runs after the track which began to run. "Bow!, Bow!" Chikako 
shouted holding up to see Shun when the pendant of the flower put in 
the pocket while running was put out with the right hand. "ShunCyan! 
Give to This!" Do the stream of a big tear to Chikako's cheek. "Bow!, 
Bow!" Shun keeps barking as Shun which injures at the left of the face 
brings the face close to the hedge of the cage, and Chikako is called. 
"ShunCyan! Give to This!" Chikako stumbled throwing in the foot to the

day when running as Chikako shouted so. "Oh!" Chikako raised the voice 
and fell. Then, Tatsuya's voice was from the cycling course on one 
step. "Chiichyan!" Tatsuya who had returned from the company gave up 
running after Chikako and met Noriko who came back to the house by 
chance in front of the house. And, Tatsuya asked from Noriko "Chikako 
rid in the river beach and having rid on the bicycle", looked for 
Chikako, and the bicycle was made to run at every step about the river 
beach.The bicycle on which Tatsuya rid is thrown, blown down, and goes 
down to the road below in a hurry as elbowing one's way through the 
grass which has grown on the slope in the bank. When Tatsuya arrives at 
the pool which lie face downies by Chikako and falls, was made to have 
sideward of Chikako by both hands and to stand.Chikako who had stood up 
clung to Tatsuya like clothes which became soaked, and said to Tatsuya 
while crying. "Shuncayn is, Shuncayn is," The tear had come into in 
Tatsuya's eyes because had heard my daughter's voice after a long time. 
"I'm sorry, Chiichyan, I'm sorry, Chiichyan," Tatsuya repeated the same 
word many times while patting the head of clinging Chikako. "Bow!, 
Bow!, Bow!, Bow!" Madder red emptiness the under, the track where Shun 
which kept barking was put has gone away to disappear from the Chikako 
front.
