Into the Void

I bear the crimson star

And breach the ignoramus

My heart beats at them

My brain electrifies them

My pumping blood spews

I spit it with my every word

I show it to you

I scream at the juggernaut

Through the tears I bleed

I show them to you

I am not here

My voice pierces the dark

But no one is there.

My paradox

I work to terrify

I scream to petrify

I am on the stage

Full of righteous rage

Fighting for what I've lost

But never had

Enter my paradox.

Watching --

Empty passion and cold blinking eyes

Images flashing before our faces

Darkened rooms full of anticipation

The moment is already gone

We are all gluttons begging

For more and faster vignettes

Could we ever explain it?

Winter

I will scream for all the ages

I will pound with fists bleeding

Against walls that give

They will only spring back

Like trampolenes in yards

On hot summer days by the pool

I am still cold, waiting
