Leia completes her training and helps Yoda search for Luke.

Chapter 5 

3.....2....1....0 the numbers counted down on the display screen of
Alliance X-Wing AA-589. When the countdown reached Zero Luke Skywalker 
pulled back on the hyperdrive lever and the X-Wing dropped out of 
Hyperspace 320,000,000 KM due north of Sol. 

"OK Artoo, scan for ships around the Earth and calculate a microjump to
orbit." 

It was a wise practice to enter a system at war in this fashion, after
all you never knew for sure when a fleet would be massed in orbit, and 
though space was vast, orbital space with a fleet in it was asking for 
a collision if you blind jumped in. 

"Beep blahp boooooop! " 

"How many Corvettes? I didn't expect them to be building them so soon
with the Dominion fleet near Betazed." 

"Beep <40 Corvettes>" 

"What?! How is that possible, we have only been gone 6 weeks!" 

"Boop " 

"Do the corvettes have an Alliance transponder signal?" 

"Blahp " 

"Plot an intercept course for that fleet Artoo. I want some answers
right away." 

Two minutes later Luke microjumped into Mars orbit, at the edge of the
Utopia Planitia shipyard. 

"Alliance X-Wing AA-589 requesting permission to dock at Utopia
Planitia." 

"Permission granted and welcome to Mars Commander Skywalker." 

"Thank you Utopia Controll." 

As his fighter settled snugly into its assigned berth Luke recognized
the smiling face of Admiral Gingerbeard approaching. 

"I always seem to be welcoming you, Commander Skywalker, welcome to
Utopia Planitia! No doubt you noticed the fleet we have been building 
since you left and dropped by to ask about it." 

"Thank you Admiral, and in light of our freindship please call me Luke."


"As you wish Luke, you may call me Ian, in private of course." 

"You seem to have anticipated my Curiousity Admiral. Please tell me how
you accomplished this?" Luke asked waving to the fleet of Corellian 
Corvettes visible through the veiwports. 

"Well Luke we had been working on the modular replicator for the war and
it was ready for testing when you arrived in the Sol system 2 months 
ago. Once it was declared operational we replicated 288 X-Wings and 
then started on the Corvettes with the data supplied to us by R2D2 
here. We also replicated Hyperdrive motivators for our entire fleet of 
6,000 ships and sent them out on fast scouts to meet with our ships and 
modify them for Hyperdrive, by this time 60% of our fleet has 
Hyperdrive installed and by the end of next month all active Star Fleet 
vessels will be hyperdrive equiped." 

"Impressive Admiral, but that still does not explain how you are
building this fleet of Corvettes." 

"Quite right Luke, we simply ordered 1120 of our Oberth class science
ships to report to Utopia Planitia. The Oberth class ships are about 
three times the Volume of a Corvette but mass only 5/7ths as much
