The Better Game In Town 

The letters are in focus on the keyboard 

I hear the humming of the refrigerator 

My sadness is nauseating and my head throbs 

I don’t know what day it is only that it is late 

I want to go to sleep to escape 

For a few hours before I begin again 

To choose life at its nadir 

One moment and then the next
