I walked in to the room of the one who was heart broken. His window was broken. There he laid on the floor, blood surronding the place where he fell. There beside his bed, i found this very note. I cried.

Jesus, how can I be glad?

Jesus, I am really sad.

I've tried my best to do the things I can.

I've tried my bet to be the best that I am.

Through the Christmas lights I want to tell you now.

I am hurt beyond my heart can tell.

I want to share why

And I hope it won't make me cry.

It's about the greatest gift you've given me this year.

How I lost it right at the end.

How I sacrificed to stop its end.

But today I start this New Year Lord.

Feeling all this sadness within as I stand here alone.

Standing in my space.

Staring at the thing that Satan stole from me.

I remember the joy.

I missed all the fun.

And all I have done Lord,

I'm losing faith.

Dear Lord, I've prayed but it is still the same.

I've done all I can oh Lord.

Then I got the word from you.

Have I ever said “No!” to you?

Have I ever turned from you?

Where is your faith?

Where is your faith?

Where is your faith?

Lord, I've lost the most precious thing I had.

But you told me to claim that inheritance.

Though, still weak in faith I am Lord.

I just ask oh Lord to make this New Year a better year.

A better year.

Now my tears drip.

My heart drops.

In sadness I cannot sleep.

I leave 2005 with great grief.

But pray for wisdom, help and strength this year.

As I sing this song,

Know from me the drop in faith.

Help me Lord, please oh God.

I sing a victory song for the gift.

Prodigal son.
