Poem about dreaming

By Moonlight

By Molly Ellen McMurphy

The universe revolves around

My everlasting dreams

And it seems as though

I'm floating past

The present, past, and future

Into whirlwinds of color

And I hover over clouds

And towns and trees and I run

Through thoughts and memories

Of years and tears

And broken mirrors

And long lost friends

And faded blurrs

Until my body stirs

And I awake into the darkness

Of the night broken only

By the light of the moon

And I soon lie down again

To rest and wander.
