|an "offshoot" poem from Arizona Sunset. This recalls the authors childhood|
Sisters In a swing she sat calmly staring As twilight soon came to be Serenity soothing her face Any passersby could plainly see “Twas a painters' palette splashing golden sky Nudging a childhood memory Long ago forgotten by and by Blanket spread upon the grass As sisters they would lay Resting chins in their hands Dreaming the night away On stars wishes were placed For dreams to come true The “man in the moon” Envisioned by the two Laughingly counting stars Always losing place Hoping to see a shooting star Zipping along the milky way This golden sunset bursting Walked her back in time This child never far from home Precious memories forever mine Tweet
