A nice little poem about how a friendship truly ought to be.

Friend

A laugh, a smile, a giggle, a blush, 

All these things heard with a hush. 

From soccer to track, it’s all the same. 

I’ll always remember your single name. 

Like a friend we’ve been through a lot, 

All our memories tied in a knot, 

I’ll stand by you, true like a friend. 

I hope that will go on and never end. 

For now, I’ll be here, standing by, 

I’ll remember you to the day I die. 

You’ll always have someone to talk to, 

To listen, and to speak only true. 

Your like a sister, and like no other, 

I’ll always be that kid like a brother. 

If you ever need me, you’ll know where I’ll be. 

Like a stone, or a rooted tree. 

Just remember I’ll never regret, 

The days we had, those I’ll never forget.
