day get any worse!she thought, and dragged herself all the way over to 
her table/torture chamber. Patrick was James' best friend, so they were 
going to talk and laugh the whole time, and Jan is going out with James 
so she would laugh along as if she knew what the heck they were talking 
about! While the rest of her table started talking, she tried to listen 
to the teacher, but she began day-dreaming. 

Of course, Jan's high pitch voice interrupted Annalee. "Guess what
guys," she squealed with excitment, "I am trying out for the school 
newspaper's gossip column!" An applause came from my table, I clapped, 
but weakly, meaninglessly. "Annalee, why aren't you happy for me?" Jan 
demanded, "What, oh me? Oh I am happy for you, really I am! GO JAN! 
WOO!" Just then the whole class turned and stared at Annalee, incuding 
her table. Only one person wasn't staring at her, and that was 
Gab-on-Gabby who was too sucked into her conversation to notice. 
"Annalee," exclaimed the teacher, "explain yourself!" "Well, ah, I was, 
um, just congratulating Jan on her great, great news." replied Annalee. 


At lunch Annalee met Barbara at herlocker, but apparently something was
going on. Annalee was the last of the FGP to get there. "What 
happened?" Annalee asked. Barbara had great news,(way better than 
Jan's!) her crush Daniel Hughs asked her out! Barbara was so totally 
and completely starstruck during lunch! Whenever one of the FGPs tried 
to talk to her, she'd say: "What,oh,me,yeah sure," then continued to 
eat. Just then the intercom in the cafeteria sprung to life; "Attention 
all freshman and sophomore, by the vending machines, there is a sign-up 
sheet if you wanted to do some community service for the veterans on 
Saturday, Semtember 10th, 2010. Please get further information at the 
main office. Thank you and have a nice day." the intercom zapped off 
and conversation buzzed at Annalee's table. 

"I think that would be the kindest thing to do," exclaimed Olivia,
"Yeah," agreed Tianna, "I'm in," declared Annalee, "I can't," Sierra 
said dissapionted, "my sister has a violin concert and she already 
hates me," "Me either," Barbara spoke for the first time during lunch, 
"that's when I have my date with Daniel," "Oh, no biggy," said Claudia, 
"Laura and me were gonna rent a movie, but this is much more helpful 
for the community," "Yeah, my sister has a basketball game, but I'm 
sure my mom will let me come," agreed Shayna. "Great, we'll go sign-up 
then," Olivia floated grace fully over to the sign-up sheet, signed, 
Olivia Stanford, Tianna Parker, Annalee Sanders, Claudia DeLouis, Laura 
Hawkens, and Shayna Simmons.
