Author: bodhisattvaAdded: Feb 09 2003Views/Reads: 3148/1951Story vote: 0.00 (0 votes)
An unidealistic bout with suicide.

I plant my feet

Between the rails

Flesh and iron contrast

Blood splatters into smoke

Shadows and demons converge

Unto my minds eye

Leaving me but one path

A path words cannot travel

A journey of my soul

Descending

Descending

Descending into madness.

Miles of railroad ties

Stretch before me

Grids of wood and metal

Locking me into this cycle

Of self destructive self-destruction

Callous hands grip bars

This prison that cannot fall

Each bar is me

Despair

Depression

Anger

Disappointment

Each bar is my soul

Resentment

Distress

Duress

Each bar is my God

Rage

Hate

Ignorance

Each bar is my only love

Depression

Depression

Depression

I love my cage

This eternal trap
