The Just Dreaming Phase

By: cowgirl_11

I know there has to be other women like me. Women that feel they live in
a dream world. Meaning that you're whole life feels like it's been a
dream. Whether it's a good dream or a bad dream. Is life nothing but a
dream? Or is it real?

We all feel the same about certain things. Take love for instance. We
believe that we have love. That love bring us fulfillment! Or do we
settle for what we can find?

Do we give up on love? Or do we keep living for it until we find it?
Everyone can't feel the same, can they? If so, then am I just a nut
case with a couple screws loose?

We dream of the perfect life, 4 kids, house on a farm, and new car/truck
in the driveway. I would prefer for it to be a dually work truck. That
way I can feed the horses and the cattle. Then again I'm just a country
girl at heart. I'm sure that city people feel different.

We all dream of the perfect man/woman that will complete our lives. One
who would love us even if we were butt ugly. Because to him/her it's
the inside that counts. Someone that would give us unconditional love
wouldn't complain if we spent too much money on something. Or gripe
because we bought something that we really didn't need. Or you just
forgot to pick up the dry cleaning.

I know I dream about that type of stuff all the time. But in reality,
I'm a married woman, who isn't "in love" with her husband. I do have
two kids; they're a handful in itself. I don't even remember what a new
car feels like. I wouldn't give anything for my truck though. It's a 69
Ford Ranger, one of the first ones they made. It's my baby!

I pay the bills; he works all the time. I take care of the kids and the
house. He wants to gripe if he doesn't get sex once a week, or he
doesn't have tea made. What is this? This dear friend is life, whether
we want to live it or not.

So I've taken up a hobby of writing little stories. It fills my daytime
hours, sometimes my nighttime hours too. It gives me a sense of
purpose, lets my imagination soar. Wherever I want to go with it, my
mind takes me there. That's what makes life worth living, lets me
unwind at the end of the day.

The just dreaming phases of our live. That's what makes life bearable,
that's all friends. At least that is what I believe! That's what I'm
going to try to write about this time. The just dreaming phase of my
live. I'm going to tell you what I dream about.

My dream always starts out in the same place. I'm with a man that loves
me for myself, not what I look like, what I can do for him. Not for
just sexual release, just me being me. And I love him for the same
things.

That's why it's a dream. Because men now days have at least one thing
they want in a woman. Whether it's large breast, a great mouth, and
great pair of legs. No one loves people anymore for just who they are.
Well, I should say that no one loves me like that.

As usual I'm getting sidetracked. Sorry and please forgive me.

The man of my dream is warm and tender, someone who wants for us to be
together. It wouldn't matter to him if I were old and wrinkly. He would
still love me. He prays for the days where we are old. That way we can
sit on our front porch, watch our grandchildren at play.

The man of my dreams is a wonderful lover. He's always thinking about my
needs first. If one of us doesn't feel like just sex, we'll pleasure
the other. Or if it's sex we do want, it's the kind we want together.
It's not just about him; it's what we both want. It's a mutual
understanding. If one of us doesn't feel like it there's always
tomorrow night. There isn't any of the "If you love me you will do this
one thing for me.”
